"My pool pump and light were not working. I found a few pool companies online and called a few. As usual none showed up all with a story about why they didn't. Finally called Chris at Herndon Pool repairs and More and he called me right back. We worked out a time when he would come by and he showed up on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Could not have been a better experience. I now have a pool company I can call and I know they will show up and do a good job. Call you will not be disapointed."

"Wonderful!! Luis and his team are absolutely phenomenal!! Not only did he replace our pool light and add junction box and timer, he also labeled all of our pool equipment including fountains and explained to me how everything worked. He even helped us with our fountain in the front of our house. He is literally the most knowledgeable pool person we have ever hired and we are so thankful to have found him. Will always use Blueline pools in the future. I thank Angi’s list also for helping us find this wonderful company!!"

"Calvin and his dependable crew recently completed full resurfacing and new tile installation on my pool. Plus new pool deck, the entire area looks beautiful! Calvin personally supervised the project up until it was finished. They are not going to be the cheapest, but they show up and do a competent job from start to finish. Worth the extra money for peace of mind and quality work."

"I initially hired OP Pool Leak Detection and Repairs in January to find leaks in our pool. All things started off great, Onarbin was very responsive, showed up as he said he would and seemed professional. He found leaks quickly, which is where I wished I would have stopped. Unfortunately, I hired him to replace my leaking pool skimmer. The installation was extremely poor. When we expressed our concerns, Onarbin was quick to give excuses but told us he would return to make repairs. He never did. I now have to hire a new company to repair the work done by O.P. Pool. The photos and video show the issues. Problems with the skimmer installation include: 1. Skimmer was installed too high, it is now sitting above my patio pavers causing a tripping hazard. 2. Skimmer opening at the deck is too small for the skimmer basket to be lifted out. To fix this, Onarbin cut up the skimmer basket so that it could fit through the hole that is too small. 3. One pool pipe under skimmer basket is now filled with loose gravel from the installation. 4. Grout around the skimmer is crumbling. And the top of the skimmer is falling apart 5. Deck pavers around skimmer are now all loose."

"My wife and I have been going back and forth on a pool for over 2 years and heard nothing but horror stories, contractors taking deposits and running, months and months of construction, unhappy results, etcâ ¦ We were referred to Dolce Vita pools by someone who had just used them and praised on how quick, responsive and how much they paid attention to detail. So we decided to reach out for a consultation. Anthony came over and we went through our vision and what we had in mind. He was able to tell us what was possible and what would look aesthetically pleasing in our backyard. He came back a few days later with a design and a contract. We were very pleased with the price, design and the construction time was only going to take 2 months or less. My wife and I were very pleased with everything and decided to make the leap into getting a pool! I canâ t express how much Anthony and Luca at Dolce Vita took the time to make sure our wants and needs were met at every aspect of the project. From the initial day of digging to the closing of the permit, everything was met and exceeded beyond our expectations! Anthony made sure throughout the construction process that we were set on something before they moved forward. Our only change was the color of the diamondbrite, it was an easy change since it was still early in the construction process. Last but not least, the construction time. Anthony had mentioned the process was going to move very quickly once the permits were opened. He told us we would be swimming in 6-8 weeks. Seems a little absurd from everyone else I know that has had a pool built, usually we hear 6-8 months. Not Dolce Vita! Our first day of pool construction was April 8th, we were done and swimming with permits closed by May 17th! Incredible! Thanks to Anthony pushing to make sure our project was on schedule, communicating with the different trades and making sure everyone was on the same page. We are extremely happy with the service, the care and our new pool! Would recommend them to anyone interested in getting a new pool. Whether you are on the fence or ready to jump in (no pun intended) to getting a new pool, I would recommend you call Dolce Vita, you will not be disappointed!"

FAQs for swimming pool heaters installation and replacement projects in Pompano Beach, FL

Yes, you can add a heater to an existing pool. A pro can retrofit a heater to nearly any in-ground or above-ground pool. Adding a heater allows you to start the swim season earlier, finish it later, and maintain a steady water temperature in between. Many owners schedule the job during a larger pool upgrade, but it also works as a standalone project. Professional installation ties the new unit into the existing pump and plumbing for safe, efficient operation.

Most owners switch the heater on a day or two before they plan to swim, then shut it down afterward. Reaching the target temperature can take 24 to 72 hours, depending on pool size and outdoor conditions. Using a cover while the heater is off helps hold the heat and keeps energy costs in check.

Pool heaters can freeze if left exposed to extreme conditions. Freezing can damage internal heater components, potentially leading to costly pool repairs. Cycling water, covering the heater, and regular maintenance help prevent freezing. Sealing or winterizing your heater also protects it during the season—this involves draining water from the heater and its components.

Pool heaters operate with lifespans spanning from seven to 30 years. Gas and propane models last seven to 12 years, while electric and solar heaters perform efficiently for up to 30 years. Consistent professional maintenance and routine inspections extend the heater’s life and improve its performance, ensuring a safe and reliable heating system for your pool.

Before hiring a pool heater installation contractor, conduct thorough research by reviewing online feedback and gathering recommendations from trusted sources. Contact multiple professionals to discuss pricing, request references, and understand the complete installation process. This careful evaluation ensures you select a qualified contractor who delivers high-quality service and a successful installation.
