I had another company come out to offer a bid. The other company was a national company with company car all covered with stickers while Sturdy Soil was local. The national company with a salesman who hung around for a couple hours finding a bunch of things that needed done and cost a ridiculous amount. Sturdy Soil doesnt have corporate offices, corporate salesman and got on the job within a couple days and finished quickly. I was amazed by the difference and saved thousands of dollars. "Great. I was very happy with the work, I saw an immediate change in my floors. I own a 1920s home built on a crawl space, over time the floors have started to sag, and the support beams were no longer sufficient. I was having a really hard time finding someone to do this kind of work and the one other quote I received was 3 times more than Stable Solutions. The work took about a day and a half and honestly it was quick and painless, I barely heard any noise and minimal internal damage considering the scope of the work being done. Travis and his team were prompt, efficient and responsive to all my concerns and questions. The squeaking in the floors lessened, it felt more stable in the areas we needed support and the sagging portions of the floors were instantly lifted and stabilized. "The project turned out great. Our patio pavers look wonderful and the sliding glass doors and new Florida room are better than we expected. Overall the contractor did a good job. The only thing I would do differently would require that the a detailed specification of the job be written up by the contractor and that we go over in detail each and every facet of the work before they begin. Too often on this job the contractor had to reorder material that was either not the right color or because their was a change in the plan. It cost Rand L both time and money, but to their credit they absorbed the cost. Ron the owner is easy to work with and lives up to his commitments, while providing excellent quality and service. Rand L has several very skilled workers who did exceptional work installing the sliding glass doors or building of the Florida room from the ground up. They subcontracted the pavers to Vic Brick Pavers who with a crew of five installed 1100 feet of pavers in one day. They too were exceptional. I found Rand L Building through Angie's List and highly recommend them to anyone needing a general contractor. They are honest and do excellent work! <br />"
