"Archway Clean Sweep were great! I just wish I could have used their services. Cindy was very professional and friendly on the phone when I explained what I was needing and scheduled me efficiently. When the chimney sweep men came, they evaluated my chimney from the outside first and came to the door. He said he could do the sweep and charge me, but wouldn't recommend we burn a fire in our fireplace. He walked outside with me and showed me and explained the problems with the original build of the chimney, why it wasn't explained in our home-buying inspection and what would need to be done to correct it. He answered my questions and gave me a referral for a direct vent for a gas fireplace conversion that I asked him for. So refreshing to have a company come out who looked out for the safety of our home & family over making a quick buck. If I had cash, I would have a least given him a tip for the time he took to drive and talk with me. His knowledge was invaluable. "Last fall I bought a house with a gas fireplace, and during the inspection it was noted the damper was blocked. The inspector thought that there was probably debris in the chimney causing the blockage. So I hired Absolute Clean to unblock and clean the chimney. They found that the blockage was caused not by debris but by a piece of mortar protruding from the masonry. In fact the chimney had probably never been used even though the house was 47 years old. "Once again (my 4th time using this company), Stan and his crew came through to save the day. Late last week during heavy rain, I heard rain water dripping into my chimney, and it was coming out of the Electrical outlet next to our bed. I went out to see my old aluminum vent had been pulled up by the wind, and had exposed my chimney directly to the rain. I texted Stan the next morning, and within 4 hours his crew showed up, climbed up 3 stories, and cut the old vent off, and capped the chimney so no more water could get in. They were very professional, first, they checked all the bricks, and put extra mortar into several that needed it. Then they carefully sealed on a large piece of concrete board.
