"Mathew did a great job. Leaky faucet but he took time to look at other plumbing issues I have in the near future. He had the parts right on the truck to fix it. Thanks much!!!"

"The guys from Haines Drains were very polite and professional. They and did an awesome job removing roots from my sewer line and verified their work with a camera. They then followed up with steam cleaning and chemical treatment to prevent future root growth. Would highly recommend this company!"

"My first interactions with Michigan Plumbing would have to be rated pretty poor. I called on a Monday and they were not available until Wednesday. Wednesday came and as my appointment window was passing I got a call saying they were to busy that day to keep the appointment. I was thinking I should call someone else at that point but I was told that when they came to do the estimate rescheduled for the next day they would be able to do the work right then if I approved the cost. When they did arrive the next day after getting the estimate they were unable to do any of the work because it was later in the day and the work would take to long. They would reschedule for the next day, now Thursday. So after leaving work early two days already I would need to take the next day off so they could finally do something. They did offer a 25.00 credit each time (50.00 total) for being bumped around, far less then I would have made staying at work and not taking a day off waiting until they could get the job done. The plumbers they sent out were really nice guys that seemed to care about the job they were doing. After having new granite installed I needed two bathroom faucets and drains connected along with the faucet and drain plus garbage disposal at the kitchen sink. They were all things I had done before myself but I just didn't want to deal with it and wanted to get it done. I was thinking this was going to cost me a $1000.00 to have it done but as I said I just wanted it done. The initial estimate was just shy of $2000.00 over 650.00 per room. The bill came down because I was able to provide a one of the parts myself plus the 50.00 discount they gave me for bumping my appointment twice. The overall cost was pretty outrageous at just shy of $1700.00 but at least it is done. The job included calling them back the next day because of a puddle of water under the bathroom sink. So if you have more money than time and don't mind waiting for them to get around to your job Michigan Plumbing will do a good job."

"Pricing was great, work was nice and clean, and they offered me great suggestions on the optimal place. Where I originally was going to locate the hot water heater and lines, would have cost more, so they provided me a better option for placement on the premise of saving me money. I will be going to them with my bathroom remodel and HVAC work I will need soon. Their rates are far better than Michigan Plumbing, and the work is as good, it not better."

"We had a new kitchen sink drain line installed to accommodate a deep under mount sink, as well as a 75-gallon power-vent water heater and new drain lines under a laundry sink. The Great: Tom Hedlund, whom I spoke to a few times in advance to our service, was very responsive and helpful. I also can't speak highly enough about the plumbers who came out and completed the service. Adam and Donnie were everything one would hope for from service providers: Timely, courteous, friendly, worked efficiently, did quality, neat work and tested it upon completion, provided useful information, and cleaned up when they were done. My husband and I are pretty particular, and we feel confident that they did a great job! The Could-Be-Better: Our first interaction with Hedlund was a different pair of their plumbers who came out to provide an estimate on work. We did this because we didn't want any surprises in terms of expense, or the extent of work. The plumbers who came out for the estimate were friendly, but apparently not good at details. Most of the information they provided was wrong, including the fact that 1) our drain lines didn't need re-routing (despite my questioning them on that); and 2) that our water heater is natural gas (in fact, it is LP, but they never asked and never noted it). The only reason we didn't have a couple of nasty surprises on the service day is because I questioned these two items beforehand, so was able to resolve the details over the phone, and they were able to change the water heater order before it was too late. In summary, the work we received from Hedlund was excellent, but the guys who provided an estimate need to work on their attention to detail."

"We deduced that there was a clog down deep in the line somewhere, not just in the drain. The technician that came did a wonderful job. He cleared the drain out completely, he was on time, and cleaned up after himself. The price was also similar to others we looked at."

FAQs for drain line breakage camera locate projects in Portland, MI

During the inspection, you’ll watch a high-definition video feed that shows exactly what’s going on inside the pipe—everything from minor buildup to major cracks. Your plumber pauses the footage to explain what you’re seeing and why it matters. Bright lights and self-leveling cameras make sure each section is captured clearly, so you leave with a complete picture of your sewer’s health.

Most professionals complete a standard sewer camera inspection in an hour. That window covers setting up the gear, guiding the camera through the line, and reviewing the footage with you. If your house lacks a cleanout and the technician needs to pull a toilet or access a vent stack, tack on a little extra time—and cost—for that added work.

Yes, a sewer camera inspection can help you identify septic system problems. A sewer camera gives your pro a live view of the pipes leading to the septic tank, so they can spot blockages, corrosion, leaks, or other red flags without guesswork. Pinpointing the problem quickly means you can plan the right repair and keep the entire septic system running smoothly.
