"After receiving three bids, we decided to work with Brad and Lauri of Carpentry Plus and we are so glad we did. The remodel was comprised of about 2/3 of our downstairs space including the kitchen, dining room, laundry room, 1/2 bath and the adjoining hallway, plus the flooring in our foyer and sunporch. We were extremely happy with the quality of their work, the consistent professionalism and thoughtful care and advice as we worked through a complex project. The work included removal of walls, reworking air runs, lots of wood working including matching colors, installing new cabinets and countertops, new flooring, paint, electrical, plumbing and new windows. Carpentry Plus provided many great ideas, was flexible, which was necessary as the project took place during the COVID-19 shut-down and treated our project as if it was their own home. We have already signed up for some additional projects with them and expect that Carpentry Plus to be our go-to contractor in the future."

"We were fit into their already busy schedule for an estimate, which I very much appreciated (we are a previous customer).  While Palmer's provided a competitive quote, we opted for another company who could get the work done quicker (and was a bit cheaper) as time of was the essence.  However, that being said, from previous experience I would not of hesitated to use Palmer Construction again as I know they perform outstanding quality work and are very attentive to any questions/concerns. <br />"

"I was hard to know how to write this up, because we haven't yet actually USED this contractor, but we were very impressed with the professionalism, and promptness with which they came out, talked to us and gave us a very reasonable estimate.  We decided to wait until this summer to have the work done, but will definitely call  EB Companies because we were so impressed. <br />"

"We have used them many times over the years for restoration and remodel. They are GREAT! It eased our minds that they were available when our septic backed up, because we knew they would handle it well, and we wouldn't have to worry. We were out of town when the incident first happened, and they were able to come right over and get things started, so we had less stress. Don did the floor and trim work in the basement; we have an odd-shaped room... the corners are perfect! He also took the extra time to line up the flooring to create barrier-free entrances. He also did a beautiful job on resurfacing the bar. The carpet guy was efficient and very polite. The carpet on the stairs is beautiful and comfy on our feet; nice padding. Caleb Hubble oversaw the projects and was there to answer all of our questions, and worked well with our insurance company. Thank you, Hubble Construction!"

"I had a great opportunity to see a basement remodeled by Woodstone Builders. When I talked to the home owners they loved the quality and service. The project site was clean and the quality was outstanding!"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Potterville, MI

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
