"We bought a camper recently that had a leak in the roof, which caused mold and had a pretty pungent odor. They assured us they could handle the job and were in good hands. We couldnâ t be happier with the service or results. Would definitely recommend."

"Keith the owner is a wonderful man. When the surrounding areas of Baton Rouge flooded well over 40,000 homes, he teamed up with several area companies to get the work done. For those without flood insurance who could not afford to hire the help, he gave them instructions on how to do it themselves in their time of need. He is a respectable and trustworthy person."

"I am very pleased with the cleaning that Deep South Ductz provided for the air ducts in my home! I suffer from severe allergies, and was unaware of the effect that your H-Vac system can have on your health. D.S.D was able to educate me on the H-Vac system and how it can potentially produce harmful bodies throughout your home. Not only was I able to FEEL a difference, but I was able to SEE the difference with before and after pictures! As we did a final walk through, Anthony informed me of the other services his company provides. Such as, dryer vent cleaning, which is something I desperately needed done! I was having to dry one load of laundry multiple times just to get them completely dry! Overall, I would highly recommend their services and will definitely use these guys again! Matter of fact, I am now on a maintenance plan to have my dryer vent cleaned once a year!"

". Job performed was drywall, water and moisture removal with mold treatment. We had an incident with a leaking pipe with water damage that covered 2 rooms and multiple walls. David was called late the night before and arrived early the next day, gave a report and quote and started right away after selecting him from another company on site. . He is great not only in communicating what he is doing, but also in providing pictures, and updates at the end of the day. Answered questions and calls right away, and provided a very professional report at the end of when the job was done for me and my insurance. Restoration 1 was the second company we called due to hiring another company first that did not complete the job and were very unprofessional. I wished I had called him first."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Prairieville, LA

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
