"Total repair cost was $476.35, of which $140.00 was to repair the copper pipe, the work went well. Don't understand how the copper pipe repair could be so expensive. Good work, but very expensive. There should be another alternative to yes and no, ie: not sure."

"Once again Earl's performance plumbing knocked it out of the park. This company is GREAT ! I called at 10 am, scheduled an appointment the same day for between 12 & 2 pm, Jose arrived at 1:30 and was finished , paid , and gone 30 minutes later. These guys go above and beyond my expectations for a fair price too. I'll say it again, I wouldn't think of hiring any other company. Thanks again team Earl.??"

"John explained how the pan and surrounding wall were constructed, and showed us how water couldn't get into the wall. Rather than suggest replacing anything, he assured us that our equipment was sound and the installation was done correctly."

"<p>Of the 3 estimates we requested, Brain B from Able Services was by far the most informative, confident and professional. </p> <p>Brian B was a good listener, had creative ideas and a vision for how he could design a system to work for us (and within our budget!) He seemed more interested in educating us about our options than in pushing a sale. We appreciated his approach and the time he spent analyzing our needs and explaining the possibilities. He was also interested in designing a system that would flexible and could be expanded later when we are ready to add irrigation, etc. (A plumber from a different company wanted to replace the pipes exactly as they had original been installed in 1947. Even when we mentioned that the location of current hose bibs weren't very convenient, he didn't seem willing to brainstorm ways to get water were we actually want it.)</p> <p>We live in an area where there are lots of rats; when we moved in the house had been empty for several months, and rats had chewed through both pvc supply lines and black AVS drainpipe. We want copper pipes, and Brian B agreed. (The other two plumbers who gave estimates didn't want to work with copper and even wanted to argue about it, trying to convince us to use pex and pvc. Ultimately, one plumber declined to give us an estimate because he didn't want to spend the time it would take to do the house in copper!!) Unlike the others, Brian B didn't push for the materials that would be cheap and easy to install. He seemed more interested in installing pipes that work for us for many years to come.</p> <p>We will definitely be scheduling Able Plumbing to do this job. It's a huge and costly job, and only Brian B inspired us with his confidence and willingness to meet our needs. Brian B is why we chose Able Plumbing.</p> <br />"

"He was reasonable and this man is ultra honest. He told me that if I have any more problems with his washing machine he told that I should not put any more money into it instead get a new one."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Princeton, CA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
