He arrived at our home on time and quickly diagnosed two problems. Although he had another service call to make at 5:00 pm, he returned at 7:30 with the required parts (three in all-two from his warehouse and one from an auto parts store) and finished the job. Since the weather was in the 90's every day, we were extremely grateful for his willingness to provide same day, after-hours service. They honored the Angie's List coupon and allowed us to avoid the costly bill of replacing our furnace and AC."

Tom, the Handyman, called ahead of time to inform me when he and another man would arrive.  They arrived on time and quickly went to work after checking the list and informing us as to what the jobs would entail.  They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable plus they were extremely neat and very careful as they moved through our home.  They cleaned up after themselves.

"Sears' package of services allowed me to worry very little because they coordinated all the trades. Sears has a longstanding reputation for standing behind their products, something I had not found to be true with other contractors I had used in the past. Thecarpenter/job coordinator who did the refacing work was wonderful to work with, making minor modifiations as necessary to fit my needs.  I had not originally intended to purchase new appliances, but Sears offered me such a great discount that I added a new cooktop, double ovens (which required some cabinet modifications), and a dishwasher, which were installed by the carpenter.  He also coordinated the quartz countertop and flooring installations. All of the work Sears did was well done and professional. After the job was completed, I noticed that a door in the den that had to be cut off to accommodate the new flooring was a bit rough, and they sent the carpenter back to fix it within a week. I was somewhat concerned that I would not like the laminate used to reface the wood cabinets, but it has turned out to be very attractive, more durable than wood, and easy to clean.  No one can even find the seams in the quartz countertop or the Congoleum flooring, so I feel that their workmen are very experienced and skilled. I not only would recommend Sears to others, I would use them again for other work."

"I filled out a ticket , and they call within 24 hours. They scheduled someone to come do the work. It is really easy to get a hold of this company over the phone. I pay 75 service fee each time they come out, and a $40 a month. If any of the appliances break down and they cannot fix them, they will replace them for free. The window blinds were purchased by us, and they were to install them. However, there was a series of problems with the blinds that were not of their doing. At the end of the day, we didn't feel like the blinds were installed properly. Overall, there were many positives to working with them. They solved the sewer problem very quickly. They're very attentive to their customers and measure themselves against a well laid out plan. They were highly responsive to our particular timing needs prior to selling the home."
