"Ryan did a fantastic job roughing in my post frame building for a bathroom and running a gas line extension from my house. The project had a small window to get the work done, making scheduling a plumber difficult. Citywide arrived on time and provided a professional service and product, rolling with changes that popped up during the build. I will definitely call on Citywide to finish the plumbing in the shop next year and to help with any other future work in our house! I will recommend them to my friends in the area!"

"Lonn arrived on time. He explained everything he was going to do, and verified the price for the water heater and city permit. He laid tarps down to protect our carpeted floor and stairs, and cleaned up after he was done. He also noticed that some of our pipe ceiling hooks/hangers were broken and he replaced those. They took the old water heater away the same day."

"Nate is the best! We had a copper pipe leak, and Nate was able to be here within a couple of hours. He relaxed the copper section and installed a shut-off valve. I bought a custom-ordered Koehler toilet from Home Depot (never again. I then scheduled Nate to install. Short story: the toilet bowl was broken, and it would take Home Depot weeks to get get a new one. Nate called Ferguson in Plymouth — they had the same model. Nate picked it up and we had a new toilet in :45 minutes!"

"Centerpoint was at least $500 less then the 4 other plumbers listed. They even gave me a free $75 leak detector that can message my phone if a leak were to be detected. The service was great, the price was great, the scheduling was great."

"They warned us beforehand that such an old and corroded pipe might just disintegrate when they started messing with it to remove it, in which case we'd need to dig out into our yard and replace a large section.  However, he did a great job of carefully removing and replacing just what he needed to.  The finished work looked great...much better than the workmanship of a previous plumber we had hired to replace the shutoff valve higher up on that pipe.  He showed me his progress periodically so that I understood what he was doing, and he also cleaned up after himself.  He was here quite awhile, so although at first we wondered about the cost, once we saw the complexity of the job and the length of time it took to complete, we realized that the price was reasonable. <br />"

"I called EHC in the morning and spoke with Scott. He was up front and said he was busy and wouldn't make it until between 2 and 4 pm. He asked if he should call before he comes over and I said yes. He called at approximately 10 mins to 2 and said he would be here within 20 minutes, which he was. He was very friendly and professional, not minding at all while I stood behind him for the first 10 minutes to watch and ask questions. He gave me an option on purchasing a higher quality ignitor, educating me on the specs of each. He was even willing to discuss the cost of installing a bathroom exhaust fan and the work that goes into it which I had not requested on the phone call. Overall, I was pleased with the service I received. I had a home warranty so the actual repair cost was around $183, and I paid a $100 deductible."

"What a painless experience. All went extremely well from sales pitch to install to cleanup. Sales person was straight forward, quick to tell me what I didn't need to have done, but straight forward in what I did need to have done. Install folks came 2 days later (old furnace was still working). Came exactly on time, finished when they said they would. Install was perfect, brought 3 items up to code, no extra charge. Spotless cleanup. I am very impressed with the total package, and like the furnace a lot. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Princeton, MN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
