"It was amazing service. Attention to detail and made sure the job the job was done right. Also once the check was written and the job was over they answered any questions I still had. I would suggest them for anything that has to do with a pool or spa."

"It was a big job and I needed someone quick. Rafael was very quick to respond and was available when I had any questions throughout the job. Big cleanup and repair was needed. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. He explained every part of what was needed and why and provided me with all my options. He did an outstanding job. I had cracks in the pool and he provided very skilled resources to handle the cleanup, crack repair, new plaster. He installed new equipment and got the pool back in to top shape. They completed the job incredibly fast and professionally. Aquatech did a fantastic job and the pool looks great! I will continue to use Aquatech to make sure my pool stays in top shape. I would definitely recommend."

"Great work by Carlos and his whole team. Our family was not so knowledgeable about our options and could have easily been ripped off , but this is where the professionalism in premier stood out the most. Gave us all of our options before any work was done which saved us a substantial amount of money ( especially before the holidays. ) I would give Premier 11/10 if possible. By the way we love our pool can’t wait to use it !"

"I realize the impeller was broken and brought the replacement from Amazon for $36. Leslie charges $108 1st hour and $32 for visit. The $140 must be paid regardless if you decided to use them or not. They will have to come to look before they can tell you how much to fix. Warren called after I posted Angelist request for quote. He offered no charge for visiting and told me he is the owner of Royal Blue and like to do the service himself. He came and found besides the ring of the impeller was broken the defuser was broken too. He went to the supply store to get the defuser and made the pump work in no time. Total charge is $50 for the part and $170 for the labor. I think it is worth it. I am very handy myself and intended to do it myself initially. I am glad I hired him. He had to disconnect the pump from the filter tank and the water lines. It was not easy to disassemble the pump since it was 10 year old. Overall the pump is working better than before I had the problem. Water coming out of fountain very strong and so does the vacuuming."

"We are very happy with the job Durawise did on our pool. They located the leak in the pool and answered all of our questions before repairing the damage. Our pool is full and looks great! If I ever have another leak they will be my first call."

FAQs for swimming pool or accessories repair or service projects in Princeton, TX

A well-maintained, correctly sized pump lasts eight to 12 years. Help it reach the upper end of that range by cleaning the strainer basket, monitoring for unusual sounds, and verifying that the pump’s flow rate matches the filter's specifications. Address leaks or pressure dips quickly—minor fixes now cost far less than a premature replacement later.

Listen for grinding or screeching, watch for breaker trips, and keep an eye on sudden spikes in your electric bill—any one of these signals the pump needs attention. If repairs continue to accumulate or the unit is older than eight years, replacement often makes more financial sense. Contact a qualified pool repair professional immediately to diagnose the issue and prevent further damage to the filter or plumbing.

It’s best to keep your pool pump on while swimming. Keeping the pump on while you swim allows the filter and skimmers to catch debris in real-time, maintaining water features flowing. It’s not mandatory, but weaving swim time into your regular eight-to-12-hour schedule helps maintain crystal-clear water and consistent chemical levels without extra effort.

Start by shutting off the power at the breaker and verifying with a voltage meter. Close the water valves, bleed pressure, and unbolt the old pump. Wire the new unit according to the manufacturer's diagram, glue in the PVC unions, prime the housing, and tighten everything securely. Open the valves, flip the breaker, and watch for steady water flow and quiet operation. If any step feels beyond your expertise, consider hiring a licensed electrician or pool technician.
