So if someone recommends Jack Pixley, go with a real Pixley and call 2nd Generation Chimney. These two did not sugar-coat what I was looking at spending should I rebuild the chimney. They gave me alternatives for inserts that are way cheaper than repairing the original structure, gave me the pros and cons of both jobs, and did NOT try to sell me ANYTHING. As a new homeowner, whom everyone and their uncle is attempting to sell something to, I appreciate this approach. They are also CSIA certified and that bears weight with me - I value my home enough to go the extra mile in ensuring it is protected by having specialists perform the work. I will definitely go with them when the time comes. I trust them and that is often worth $$$ to me. <br />"

They were professional, everyone from the salesman, to the office staff, to the three men who removed our old roof and installed the new one. They did not disturb our landscaping and they cleaned the area every evening when they left. It was surprising quiet. "About 16 months ago, we had our wood burning chimney cleaned.  The last weekend in January 2013, we had a chimney fire, fire department responded.  No one is sure way, may be a fluke, may be not cleaned well, may be burning too much wood too often.   <br /> I looked for a company that I could get a hold of on the weekends.  I called Brouillette Home Service.  Great Response.   He was great at accommodating our schedule.  The day of the appointment I called him, he was willing to come out on the coldest day, we insisted in rescheduling.   He came out the next day.  <br /> Excellent service,  very professional, covered items inside the house, climbed on top of the roof (it was still very cold out), explained we brought the wrong chimney cover, was willing to track down the correct type and come back out, lucky we had the original one-still in good condition-good solid steel, and recommended replacing some of the chimney pipes in the spring (the fire caused some glazing).  My husband inspected his work-he was very impressed. <br /> Comparing his cleaning to the last company, we think the last company  rushed through the cleaning. <br />  He explained, that during the winter months, he is in and out of the state.     We will be calling him in the spring to replace the two sections of pipes and clean/sweep out the chimney.  <br />"
