"Alex and his crew are great. I highly recommend them. A neighbor recommended New Image Irrigation a few years back, and we are so happy they did. Alex provides outstanding service, is honest and fair, good prices, and easy scheduling and paying options."

"Rain One just finished installing our new sprinkler system.  I have been very, very impressed with them so far.  We're in a new housing development and waiting months for the sod to be installed.  When Jeff, with Rain One, came out two months ago, he told us we'd want to get it installed between the final grading of  the yard and the installation of the sod.  Otherwise you'd have to wait for the sod to root before it could be installed--and think of all that manual watering we'd have to do in the meantime.  Jeff said they would work with us as best as they could to make sure that happened on their end.  We got absolutely no cooperation from the builders.  After almost two months of excuses on why the sod wasn't getting installed, we finally got the final grading done on a Monday with no word on when the sod would be installed.  I immediately contacted Jeff and within an hour he got back to us.  He said the guys that mark the underground utilities would come Tuesday and his crew would be here at 8 a.m. Wednesday morning and would have it done that day.  He did say he made a client grumpy by bumping her appointment, but timing was of the essence for us.  Thank you grumpy customer for letting us have your spot.  The delightful crew, headed up by Bob, arrived before 8 this morning, got busy and were done by early afternoon.  They're fluffing up of the soil and leveling was so much better than the sod crews leveling/fluffing I am much more optimistic that I may have a smoother lawn to mow should the sod ever get installed.  Thank you to Rain One for redeeming my faith in great customer service!!"

"These guys are great.  They put the system in back in 2006 (great price and excellent work).  They've made a couple of repairs over the years when I've nicked a line or a sprinkler head with an edger or something.  Always prompt and professional.  They call every fall to schedule winterization.  Usually they are here early and by the time I arrive they are almost done - only need to get into the house to drain the final lines. <br /> If you are thinking about putting in a system give them a chance and be sure to have them put in a couple of zones for your flower pots.  I have these in the front and back and my flower containers are the best looking in the neighborhood! <br />"

"Tru-Green does an excellent job of caring for our two-acre lawn. They stand behind their work and if you are not satisfied with any aspect of their work, they will work with you to satisfy you. For example, on one or two occasions over the past several years, there were still some remaining broad leaf weeds after a reasonable time for the applied weedkiller to act. Tru-green returned to apply additional weekiller to eliminate the remaining weeds. Tru-green always calls prior to coming out to work on our lawn and always leaves a summary of the work performed. While not the lowest priced lawn care provider, we stick with Tru-green for the quality and reliability of their service. Annual cost for service depends on what you want them to do and the size of your lawn. We have a contract that includes periodic treatments in the spring, during the growing season and in the fall. Discuss your needs with Tru-green and decide on what you want them to do and how much you want to spend. A bonus is we can discuss problem areas with the technician who services our lawn and we can get knowledgeable answers, enabling us to decide what we want Tru-green to do and what we might want to do ourselves. For example, Tru-green offers seeding or re-seeding and aerating services, but we usually decide to do that ourselves when the Tru-green representative recommends it."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Prospect, OH

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
