"The whole process was excellent.  I went to Lind to inquire about getting granite countertops in my kitchen.  Courtney explained the process and sent me to two granite suppliers.  Both were very good, but I was particularly impressed with Stone Mart.  They walked me through the warehouse and explained the difference between some of the stones.  In addition, when I went back to make my final decision, they were more than willing to move some of the stones around so I could see some that were hidden.  After choosing several different patterns, Lind sent me a very competitive bid.  Jason came out to measure the counters, and he was helpful and willing to take the time to explain several things to me. <br /> <br /> The installation went well, but there were several problems with the old plumbing under my sink.  Mr. Lind stayed until everything was finished, including going out to purchase a disposal for me when we found a crack in my present disposal.  <br /> <br /> Everyone was very professional and helpful during the entire process.  I couldn't have asked for a better experience.  He kept apologizing for taking so long to install the sink, but I was just grateful that he was willing to see the job was done completely and correctly."

They were very accommodating, especially when we had to postpone some of the work due to a water leak in our house. "The entire process was painless and enjoyable.  Ben came out on a Saturday (I work two jobs so my hours during the workweek are ridiculous) to measure and provide an initial estimate.  I then went to The Granite Guy (where they knew my name when I walked through the door although they did not know when I was coming) and picked out the stone.  About a week later, an individual from there came out and drafted the templates.  Ben and his crew came the following Friday and installed the counters and sink.  They were all polite, personable, and knowledgeable.  Quite frankly, I enjoyed having them in my house--and as a single female nearing retirement age whose home repair/renovation knowledge is only dwarfed by my skills in those areas--I have sucker written all over my face.  I am on guard when dealing with service providers.  Ben quickly put me at ease.  In short, I would have him back in a heartbeat and have already recommended him to a friend who is about to redo her kitchen. <br /> I am a teacher--and I never "give" grades; they are earned.  BSC earned an A+ in all areas. <br />"

"I heard many good reviews of Granite Transformations from friends. My kitchen is about 16 years old with the original cabinets and counters from the builder. I researched cabinet replacement, refacing and also granite counters. I originally investigated Granite Transformations just to replace my countertops but was surprised to learn they also do cabinet refacing. I set up an appointment and Granite Transformations came to give me an estimate. The salesman was extremely knowledgeable about the entire process. He brought samples to my house of all colors of counters, both granite and trend stone. He also brought the doors for all colors of cabinets which helped as I picked out the counter color. I also replaced the sink with an undermounted sink and new faucet. I had a designer with me to review the products and to help me make decisions on colors. I had planned on selecting granite, but after seeing the beautiful trend stone counters, I chose that in the cosmic brown color. I selected off white cabinet refacing with oil rubbed bronze knobs. The designer and I both felt the price was very fair for the cabinets, under mounted sink, faucet and the countertops. I didn't like the mosaic back splash, so I decided to have the backsplash done using my own contractor. I set up the dates for the cabinet refacing and the counter work. The cabinets were completed in three days time with a crew of two men. The cabinet guys were very professional and nice and completed the work in a high quality fashion. The counters were installed the following day in a half day. A plumber came the 5th day to hook up the sink and garbage disposal. I was extremely pleased with all the work and with the men that performed the work. Very professional all the way around! I would definitely recommend Granite Transformations to anyone. My kitchen looks totally different and everyone has been impressed with their work. Very happy!"

"I was pleased overall with the service, selection, price and quality of Modlich. They had a nice variety of slabs from which to choose, good quality and variety of stainless steel sinks, decent showroom to see samples of edges and stone. The process was pretty smooth and I was able to participate in the layout of the cuts in the slabs. This was important to me, and Charlie Dill allowed this to happen. The seams were also very logically placed, and very unnoticeable when the job was complete. We did have a slight glitch during the installation, which was handled very much to my satisfaction. One of the installers nicked the front of our brand new stainless steel refrigerator. Modlich covered the expense of repair for this in a very prompt manner."

"Soapstone is not very common, and few companies work with it. When we initially contacted Perotta, none of the local stone suppliers they recommended had any slabs in stock. However, they worked with us very hard to find a source with slabs that we liked, and gave us a very reasonable price of around $75/sq. ft. <br /> <br /> The installers were very polite and came on time the day they were scheduled. They asked permission before driving through my yard, and took care not to leave ruts. They said they had not done many soapstone installations, but the install was quick and very high quality. They even aligned the veins in the stone along the seams between pieces. <br /> <br /> There were some unexpected marks on the stone, because it is softer than granite, but they quickly polished those away and ended up with a very quality finish. The installers were easy to talk to and very willing to work with our specifications on sink hole placement and other minor details. <br /> <br /> There was one fault in the installation that was not noticed until after the installers had left. When sliding the counter into place, they had caused a crack in the plastic on the other side of the wall. When I called to report this, it took them a while to call me back, but once I spoke with the owner he was very willing to make right and subtracted the cost of repairs from my bill. <br /> <br /> They left the kitchen clean when they finished, although they did leave a bit of a mess on my back porch from dust from some additional cutting they had to do on the stone. They also rearranged some items on our back porch which had been organized, which caused a bit of annoyance. <br /> <br /> Overall, the install look gorgeous and our one real complaint they took care of without a fuss. Would use again."
