"Melvin was running late but texted well in advance so no issues. Did a grat job hanging a TV including hiding all the cables by cutting a couple of holes in drywall and feeding lines through those. Also, looked at Internet wifi coverage in house and gave some free advice of tow simple pieces of hardware to install myself that worked as opposed to recommending something he would need to do."

"Eddie first came by on a Saturday to look at the jobs we had. We needed a few small jobs, like painting, a door hinge repair, a light switch, a little touch up to cracks in the plaster. He sent a very reasonable estimate that evening, which I appreciated. He scheduled the job for Monday. We added a few more small projects which he and his brother did without complaint. Everything was finished, both Eddie and his brother were quiet and I was able to work at home while they worked. Eddie is polite, willing, makes good suggestions. They cleaned up and left the apartment looking new again! I highly recommend him for household repairs."

"While looking for a plumber to inspect and replace a leaking water heater, I found Rapid Repairs.  I called the number, and was directed to send a text message if I needed a emergent response.  After only a few minutes, I got a response in a text message addressing my issue.  They were professional and answered my questions as best he could without being at my house.  I even got estimates based on my answers.  The only reason I did not utilize their service was that I needed hot water immediately, and they were already on multiple service calls, meaning the earliest they could come out would be Monday.
I would definitely use them in the future, I was very happy with the response and appreciated that he was polite and understood that I couldn't wait for them to become available.

"It was unfortunate but these guys were not doing work in my area even though Angie's list sent me their way. I gave them an a rating because they were very professional about the way they handled me. Gary sent me an email letting me know I was too far away however, he also told me that he would possibly come to me on a Saturday if I sent him a few pictures . I thought Gary handled me like a try professional that was busy in his own area. I would suggest that if this crew is in your area that you don't hesitate to use them as I was a customer they knew they couldn't do work for and took time out of their busy schedule to give me a few suggestions ."

"Rich gave me a competitive estimate to replace my roof (full ripoff), skylights and gutters. He also noted some vinyl siding damage caused by squirrels and agreed to repair it since they also do siding. He was very relaxed and personable and made a good impression so I decided to go with him. I had already talked with another Angie List A+ rated contractor who spent the whole time badmouthing all other roofers. Very obnoxious. Dormer Doctor performed the job over 2 days and it came out terrific. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone."

FAQs for pool enclosure repair projects in Queens Village, NY

An individual pool screen repair makes sense when someone accidentally tore the fabric of a single screen or a certain section has mold or mildew. If you need to repair a large number of your pool screens, however, it could be a more cost-effective solution to consider completely rescreening the whole pool enclosure all at once.

A pool lanai is similar to a pool enclosure, except it is considered an extension of a house. It sits under an existing truss roof rather than a separate shelter. Homeowners often outfit pool lanais with furniture, home décor, and other additions like audio-visual systems. A small lanai costs as little as $1,000 for materials and labor. Most lanais stay under $3,000 on the high end, but intricate layouts or large extensions can cost more in labor and materials.

Pool screens have varying lifespans based on their construction. Fiberglass screens last from 10 to 15 years, aluminum screens last from 15 to 20 years, polyester screens perform reliably for 20 to 30 years, and stainless steel screens offer durability for 30 years or more. Regular inspections and proper installation ensure these screens perform to their full lifespan.

You should regularly clean your pool screens to ensure they are effective and long-lasting. In a bucket, combine warm water with dish soap or cleaning vinegar. Then lightly scrub the screen with a soft-bristle brush or large sponge using your bucket mixture. After scrubbing, you can rinse the screens with a garden hose and let the screens dry in the sun. If you would prefer, you can hire a local window cleaning service to maintain your pool screens.
