"Overall, James and Kristy were very easy to deal with.  They responded promptly to our request for an estimate.  We were pleased with the estimate compared to others we received for this job, so we paid the deposit and got on their schedule.  From there, it went well. James showed up each day on time.  At the end of each work day, we never had to wonder what they had been working on all day.  There was considerable progress daily, so we felt like he worked hard when he was on the job.
We are very happy with the quality of the work.  James tiled the new shower from the floor to almost the ceiling.  He recognized problems, and found creative solutions to them...simple things that could have turned into serious issues.  We appreciated the fact that he thought far enough ahead in order to prevent these things. 
As the job progressed, we were happy enough to ask James to complete a separate project for us.  We had a closet in another part of the house that was very poorly designed (much of the closet space was virtually impossible to access).  They gave us a very reasonable estimate for that project, so we added that to the work order, and James was able to complete this for us as well.
All in all, we are very happy with Halo.  The quality of work was great, and we've already recommended them to a couple of our friends.  And we would not hesitate to use them again!"

"This was an experiment for me in use of an interior designer online.  THe consultant was helpful in directing me to useful websites to review products and encouraged me to look widely and that was useful. Otherwise I found it difficult to use her services. The online aspect is one reason - looking at colors, e.g. wall colors and considering them for a particular space is difficult to do given than monitors and lighting change the look of things. Also, one cannot get the sense of e dimensional space from 2 dimensional tools
 In addition,  she was only allowed to advise me on one room and I have an open space that includes living, dining and kitchen areas, all of which had to be considered together. It was frustrating that she was not allowed to think about the other spaces when I had to think about all of them together.
The designer pushed me to choose a rug before choosing living room furniture but I preferred to choose the furniture first as it is more difficult to replace.  She was not able to be flexible on this account. Also, when I did not seem interested in buying through their service she seemed to loose interest.
It often took several days for the consultant to get back to me. That is the area where I most fault the individual as opposed to the set up of online consulting. 
In the end, I made my own choices and am happy with them. The experience gave me more confidence in my own instincts.

"Earlier this year I had my shower replaced by DR. They did a fantastic job. This week they replaced the floors in both my bathrooms, again, fantastic. I highly recommend Dreamland Restoration."

"I was upstairs and I heard a lot of noise and the house started shaking. There were cracks inside the house. I asked what happened and they said the jack slipped. After that they said everything was good, looked level. They were supposed to redo my front steps by tearing the whole thing down and reconstructing it, but they talked me into just letting them fill in the area under the stairs with concrete and they did a sloppy job as fast as he could so they could get paid and be done with the projects. Now water gets under those area he filled and goes into the foundation. The hand railing is also not secured well to the concrete and I requested the redo that. I realized after they were done that the house was not level by the garage door. They hired a person to install a new door and he had real trouble getting the old one taken down and then had trouble with the install as well. The crew did not clean up after themselves at all. My niece and I spent 5 hours cleaning up all the bricks and concrete. One day they left my front door open and my house was filled with concrete dust everywhere. I called them several times to ask them to come out and look at the spot above the garage that was still sagging. They would tell me they were going to come out once they get more work in the area, but never came. A few months ago he said I never complained or called him. He still hasn't been out here to look at the house and I don't think he's planning on it. The last time we talked he said he was going to call before he came out but I haven't heard from him. I was responsible for repairing the drywall crack on the interior, but was assured there wouldn't be many, however, there are huge cracks all over the house."
