"Simply put, Trevor and his crew do great decks.
I have to share my 1st attempt on hiring the right guy for this project. It consisted of me getting a couple recommended contractors from others and thought I was good. Instead it was terrible, to the point where we mutually agreed it was best for them to remove the decking and poorly installed addition and walk away. Naturally I cautiously interviewed several more deck builders before deciding on MN Construction.
From the 1st call, Trevor impressed me. He made time out of his busy schedule to stop by or take my calls. He gave me an clear overview, answered questions and concerns from the last guy's work, explained why when asked, left samples, etc. He suggested deferent designs and product over others and why, building my confidence quickly. After we traded a few emails/texts, my decision to go with MN Construction was an easy one.
During the project, with a crew of 3, progress was made quickly. They were efficient, hard working, and asked questions when needed. The results are more than we expected to get because of his recommendations and I know our deck with last longer because of the quality of work/product they used. When I'd point out this or that, boom done, and better than expected. After interviewing several and hiring a couple, it's hard to find guys like this out there. You can bet they will be getting another call from me on other remodel work and I have already passed their name on.

"They did a beautiful job. It was spendy. It was a lot because it was all cedar and it was kind of custom done. It is very pretty. Their pricing was not inexpensive, but I think the quality of their work and the value were there."

"Emailed company for an estimate to repair or replace some interior doors. Got a prompt reply and set up a time for the appointment. The owner assessed the job and told us that repair was all that was needed, not replacement. He also gave us some insight into a future job that we are considering and could consider the company for. The repairs were able to be scheduled within a week and the job was well done. Only snag was a little mix up in the time that the job was to start, but this was very minor. Overall we are very happy with the experience. We very much appreciate the experience level of the people we dealt with (Jim and Tom).

Fireside had installed a gas insert for me 9 months ago. I went to turn it on and realized that the pilot light was out and my remote control batteries had died. I replaced the batteries but wasn't sure what to do to restart the pilot. It was just 15 minutes or so before Fireside closed so I thought I'd call quick to ask for help. I talked with a woman who was awesome...pulled up my records, found my model. She then walked me through the steps I needed to relight the pilot.

Seconds later I had fire...awesome!

"We couldn't be happier with the new deck! Our old deck had a good life, but it was time to replace. We got 3 different quotes, and with all 3 we requested quotes for composite as well as cedar. Scott's quotes came in at the lowest cost and we decided for our needs we would go with cedar and aluminum railings. We also expanded the size of the deck, therefore needing additional posts.
