"During a previous visit to my home to remove a yellow jacket hive, Joshua had also determined that there was a honeybee hive in an interior wall of my home. I scheduled a subsequent appointment with him to remove the bees and hive. Using a heat-sensing device and a stethoscope, he was able to determine the precise location of the hive. He removed a section of the drywall where the hive was located and removed the bees with a vacuum with an associated container. Joshua is also a bee keeper so he transfers all honeybees that he removes to one of his hives. <br /> After he removed the bees, he then carefully and completely removed the hive and the honey. He then filled in the space with insulation to decrease the possibility of any future bee hives. Joshua has construction experience so when he has to open a wall to remove a hive, he replaces the drywall and applies the first layer of mud. That leaves any additional layers of mud, sanding, and repainting for the customer. After the drywall and first layer of mud were in place, Joshua then went outside to seal the gap where the bees had originally entered the wall to ensure that no bees could re-enter in the future. <br /> Joshua is very good at what he does and very knowledgeable. He is very thorough and leaves the area completely clean. I highly recommend him for anyone who needs to have bees, yellow jackets, hornets, or wasps removed from their home. <br />"

"Raymond Walker was recommended to me by a co-worker.  I contacted Mr. Walker, he came to my house and looked at where I wanted the work done.  He returned his estimate next day and I accepted it.  I had already had another contractor give me an estimate; Mr. Walker's was nearly twice the money the other contractor had quoted, but I  asked both of them about details of the work they were to perform.  Contractor #1 was rather vague about how and precisely what he would have to do, and he proposed to "extend" the header.  I got the impression that he didn't believe I would understand what he was talking about, and that he was in a hurry to get this discussion over with. Mr. Walker explained the entire process in detail to me, including the pros and cons of "extending" as opposed to rebuilding the header (I did not mention contractor #1's plan to extend it).  I accepted Mr. Walker's bid. <br /> <br /> He showed up when he said he would, complete with all the tools and supplies he needed.  He subcontracted the masonry work, as he had said he would; the mason did an excellent job.  It took a full day to remove the windows and brick, cut the new hole, rebuild the header and install the doors.  When I got home from work that evening (my roommate was there during the work) the site was completely clean, everything worked and the only finishing necessary was another coat of drywall mud and the trim.  Mr. Walker arrived next day and finished those, as well as hanging some interior doors  that I had asked him to do the previous day.  I paid separately for those, but there was no "adjustment" or quibble about the original French door installation estimate. <br /> <br /> The doors have now been in constant use for over a year, and I am very, very pleased with the work.  I would hire Mr. Walker again without a second thought.  He is honest, thorough, professional, neat and careful, and a pleasure to deal with. I gave a "Good" rating to Mr. Walker's price, because although I believe he gave excellent value, I could have paid less for the same work and the difference would likely not have been noticeable for several more years."

"It was a couple of months ago they did the work.  It's fabulous and amazing.  I'm very happy with them.  They are incredibly professional and they are pretty flexible with work hours.  They worked with my schedule since I work full time.  They were truly professional and I trust them.  The biggest thing for me was that they were super clean.  They cleaned up after themselves when they were there and when they left.  I didn't have to walk behind them and I pick this opportunity to say that they were on top of everything.  They were wonderful.  Their professionalism was the main part because they worked for hours and they were very trustworthy.  Their work was excellent and they were willing to go above and beyond with their service.  I had some loose hinges so they just went through that and did them for me.  It was not a big deal and they didn't charge me for it.  They were really nice and very courteous.  They were excellent.  I'm actually having them quote me for something else.  They did a wonderful job and I was very pleased.                   "

"Ellison was responsive (returned my call in 2 days) and very punctual (showed up precisely on time).  He was also very friendly and listened to what work I wanted to have done.  However, he didn't take any measurements or write anything down.  He called me back two days later after the visit and said he would not be able to do my project in the timeframe I needed (3 weeks).  He had a regular other full-time job and would only be able to devote evenings and weekends to my project.  He did offer to refer me to another person, which I declined and went with another contractor. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Ray City, GA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
