I described the problem over the phone to Richard, and after inspecting the operation of the door, he assessed the problem was a weak/failing spring. He indicated the door felt very heavy to lift by hand with the opener trolley disengaged. He suggested replacing the 6 year old heavy duty spring, but I requested that he instead properly adjust the tension of the spring instead. Much less expensive alternative to swapping out an entire spring assembly. Giving generous mostly 'B' grades because of this, 'A' for responsiveness.
