"I woke up this morning and it was 87 degrees upstairs!  I called Louisiana HVAC, Inc. at 8:15 to see if anyone could come out today or tomorrow.  I was told Dax had a tight schedule, but would squeeze me in if possible.  By noon, I had a 1 pm appointment.  After arriving on time, the issue was quickly identified and resolved!  Besides being polite and prompt, Dax is honest.  The problem with the unit I called about was the filter!  We made the mistake of purchasing one of the ultimate... filters which works the AC too hard!  Instead of giving me some other 'problem' and overcharging me, he removed the filter, and serviced another unit I was planning to get around to later this summer.  I can't recommend this company highly enough.  If we have any other issues, I know who we'll call. "

"They have fair prices and do quality work. On one occasion, they completed a job repairing an underground plumbing line. The bill actually ended up being much less than they originally quoted. Once they dug up the pipe, they found that the problem was less complex than originally thought. Instead of charging the agreed upon price for the repairs, they only billed us for the actual work completed."

"Our condo has a "utility room" that is 10 feet above floor level, behind a small access door. I described this by phone to Mike, and he was familiar with similar units in the area. He gave a rough estimate then of $1450, which would be refined when one of his people physically inspected and took measurements. That person arrived on time, and confirmed that there was room to remove the old unit and install the slightly larger new unit. Brian and a partner returned early the next morning, exactly on time, and completed the replacement. Because it took less time than expected, they lowered the final charge to $1350. Not an easy job to remove an old short & wide unit via a ladder, and change over the hook ups in a tight space. Another reviewer said they posted a service request via the web form and got no follow up. I tried to use that and discovered that it didn't work, failing to invoke some third-party form handler service. These kind of foibles seem more common with small businesses who have someone create their minimal web site and then not maintain it. Just call them instead."

"It wasn't that good frankly. They were slow and didn't respond quickly. They cancelled a couple of times. It wasn't very satisfactory. We ended up replacing the air conditioning unit and we used another company. We didn't go back to AC Ambulance. They came out to fill the Freon. They came out 3 times in a row. They never did fix the leak. They just kept refilling the Freon. We did that 3 times and that's when I said I have had enough and we got someone else to come out. It was $275 but that was 3 times. Over the course of a year they didn't fix the problem. The price was fair for what they did, that wasn't the problem. They were slow and very hard to get."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Reserve, LA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
