"Our backyard drainage is so poor that even a small rain caused our yard to become a swamp. After fighting this for nearly twenty years we finally decided to bite the bullet and get a professional company to design a drainage solution that would permanently dry up our yard. We invited two highly respected companies to design solutions to fix our yard. Both companies were major operators in our area and had stellar reviews. We left the designs up to each company and ultimately chose Premium Drainage & Erosion Solutions LLC. Adrian met with us and spent the time to really understand our requirements, not only to solve the drainage but also create an attractive element in our landscaping. Their crew was very professional and respectful of our property and clearly took pride in their work. The final design was a fairly complicated combination of open and covered French drains all leading to an existing underground stormwater management system. The crew, led by Renee’, took great care in executing the design as well as modifying it as necessary to integrate into our existing underground infrastructure, i.e., sprinkler system, gas line and downspout/sump pump drains. These guys knew what they were doing and made sure we were informed of any issue that they encountered and their proposed solution. Our yard was in great hands. They even took the time to hand lay each river stone that covered the open French drains resulting in a very attractive addition to the landscape. Once everything was fully installed, the crew went the extra mile to clean up any mud or dirt left in the grass and left our landscaping in better shape than they found it. We are extremely happy with the job that Premium Drainage & Erosion Solutions did for us. They went the extra mile to make sure we were more than satisfied with their work. "Jeff called back within a day of our original call and he set up a meeting within a week. We had a plan that had been submitted and approved by our HOA so he was able to do the estimate quickly. When we told him we needed pavers that would blend in with an existing brick patio he was able to provide an excellent match. We were delighted when he said he could do the project by the end of May. After the contract was signed he called with a start date and 8 days later we had the patio. "I contacted Backyard Ponds on a Tuesday using the website and called on Wednesday. On Friday, they called to say that they had a crew working in the area that had available time if I would like them to clean the ponds. We discussed price-costs are determined by the number of hours the crew is on-site. Rates are $260 for first hour and $160 for each additional hour. As the ponds had not been cleaned since I purchased the home five years ago and they were dirty even then, I decided to agree to the cleaning.
Crew arrived on time and worked industriously. They pumped water out of the ponds, preserved the fish and frogs in a large bucket, clean the sides and bottoms, restored water from using tab water with an additive that reduced the effect of chemicals in the water, and return the fish to the cleaned ponds. I asked the crew to eliminate about one third of the naturalized lilies in one pond.  The other pond had large stones on the bottom that held lots of dirt.  The crew did a good job of getting the dirt out, leaving the stones looking clean and the water clear.
While the costs were a little high, the crew keep accurate account of the work time, even being conservative on their estimate. I though I would pay for three hours, but was charged for two and three fourths.
The ponds are beautiful and I feel the money well spent.
