"I hired Bob to do repairs and renovation of a condo rental unit. He renovated the bathroom with new tiles, replacing bathroom rotten wood frame window with a vinyl frame, installing new light fixtures and repairing bathroom plumbing, repairing torn screens, as well as repainting interior walls and trim throughout the unit and installing new shades throughout. He also plastered water-damaged ceilings and cleaned and organized the basement storage area. On the exterior he replaced a rotted window frame and missing clapboards, then patched and painted the wall. Bob arrived early each day and worked diligently. Bob is a great problem solver and works with you to suggest ways to do repairs for the best outcome while keeping costs down. His work is high quality. I would definitely hire him again."

"Needed assessment and solution for sinking back yard. A solution and plan was presented. Any questions or concerns were addressed. At no time did I feel pressured. A wooden shed on the location had to be removed and disposed. Special consideration had to be made for water flow which may have caused this problem. The solution seems logical. Based on the finished work, I have great confidence that I will use this company again."

"I was looking to get several doors installed in our home. Diego proactively reached out to schedule a visit to take some measurements, and he provided some useful advice on what kind or doors to buy. He was flexible when I had to reschedule our installation due to a delayed delivery. The installation itself went smoothly, and we are very happy with the results. Diego is friendly, polite, and does great work. We'll definitely reach out to Diego again for our next project."

"This company is great! They did an amazing job repairing and repainting my front porch. I followed up with hiring them to do additional tasks including, roofing, vinyl siding repair, storm door installation, fence repair and hedge stump removal. They did a fantastic job on these requests as well. Wladimir (the owner) is very personable and easy to work with. He responds quickly to emails and phone calls."

Customers say: Quick response

"I can't say enough about how great Donald is. He's skilled, professional, a great communicator, detail-oriented, honest, and a really nice guy. He remodeled my bathroom, fixing all the plumbing issues and water damage, and also redid my kitchen ceiling and updated the lighting where there was water damage from the bathroom above. Everything turned out beautifully; I am so impressed with the finished product and the quality of work. From the beginning, and every step of the way throughout the project, Donald was really patient in walking me through what my choices were, explaining what needed to be done, making sure I knew and understood when there were costs beyond the estimate (we knew at the beginning that we would have to open the walls and floor to understand the extent of the water damage and the cost to fix), and just generally making sure I always knew what was happening with the project and when there were decisions I needed to make. The final result is just what I wanted. I would recommend him to anyone! A few things I particularly liked about working with him - first, he's the type of person who can't stand to see things done incorrectly or looking sloppy. Second, he is always communicating where things stand: when my tub unexpectedly took an extra week to be shipped to the store, he was extremely transparent about what the delay was, when they would be back to work, and checked in with me every few days to let me know he was still checking up on the order. Third, he's kind and easy to work with - he will make certain that you're happy with the end result of your project. I definitely hope to hire Donald again in the future for more projects on my home!"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Revere, MA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
