"In response to a request for someone to repair my Weber gas grill thru Angi’s list, I was contacted by Plano Masonry and Chimney. I was told they mainly do fireplaces and do not provide this service but recommended Jeffrey. Jeffrey contacted me within 30 min, on the Saturday afternoon before Memorial Day! A couple hours later, the grill was fixed and the brats were cooking! The owner of Plano Masonry and Chimney was awesome, going out of his way to help us. Jeffrey communicated his ETA, kept me informed throughout the repair process, which was quick and successful. He was very personable and we felt comfortable having him in our home. It was reassuring to know there are people willing to go out of their way to help, especially on a holiday weekend! Because of them, we celebrated on Memorial Day the way we had hoped."

"I recently had my house leveled and the fireplace and chimney were moved 0.9 inches up. I requested to have the interior of the chimney videoed and inspected after cleaning. This was agreed to. The guy videoed the damper area and the top 0f the chimney with his cell phone. That was done only so he could charge me more for the cleaning. Note my chimney has a cap on it. He tore a hole in the screen to put his cleaning cable driven by a portable power drill. with a collapsible whip cleaning tool on the end. As far as I could tell no inspection was performed and I do not think he was qualified to perform and inspection. The video via cell phone was very unsatisfactory. For this service I was charged $399.00 He was the only one that responded to my Anges List request. The last time I got an excellent job done for less by a professional and unfortunately he is no longer in business. "The main issue with the company was the way the shingles were installed. I explained hat I did NOT want the shingles installed the way the old shingles were installed. They were in a rustic manner. I wanted them installed in a modern manner. They said they knew what I wanted. When I came home from work I saw that they were installed in the same rustic manner as the old ones. They refused to make it right. Since then I have had the roof converted to standard "asphalt" type shingles. But the roof is in need of repair so I have been looking at reviews before deciding on quotes."

"I contacted Steve at Texas Roof and Fence last fall to get bids on my house and a rent house that had hail damage.  he was very responsive to those requests and quickly got me a bid.
I'm probably not the easiest customer to do business with and I wasn't thrilled with some of his terms and conditions so he agreed to changes I requested.  I'm not sure why but it took a few months to get his signed agreement back to me.  My impression is Steve has a lot of balls in the air and sometimes thinks he has done something he hasn't. 
The roof replacement was done last week.  I am still waiting on the barn roof and gutters which were supposed to be done this week but it's not looking like they will be.
Steve set a high bar and high expectations committing to cleaning up daily which his team didn't do.  He also told me when they cleaned up it would be spotless which it wasn't.   Steve said it was unrealistic to expect they would get more than 99% of the nails, etc.
He may have done better than most roofers would have.  I had high expectations based on the strong reviews he had on Angie's List and in Denton and his representations which fell a little short.  Not sure how much of that is because my expectations were too high and some because his crew or he didn't do what he said they would.
