"The quality of work was great. All of the workers were exactly what you would hope for. We had work on an exterior wall, interior wall, sliding patio door replaced, new vinyl flooring by two doors, lots of wallpapering, and carpet replaced, requiring different workmen on different days, stretching the completion time over a few months."

"From start to finish, everything was very professional, completed when they promised and my husband said, "We should have done this years ago". The entire room looks amazing and I can't believe this is my kitchen. It looks brand new."

"I dealt with Matt from M & M to retile our backsplash in the kitchen. We had already purchased the tile. Jeff was the person who did the project. He demoed the old tile and kept the place as clean as possible. He suggested putting under cabinet lights in, and he did that also. He was fantastic at putting up my rather difficult tile. The project turned out great and I can't wait to show it off to family at Thanksgiving."

"I used ReBath's branch in Cleveland. They were absolutely terrific. They showed up early, worked nonstop, cleaned up, and then went through the inspection with me. The job took about 5-6 hours. The 3 workers were extremely polite and very professional at all times. I appreciated the video for homeowners helping me to get ready for the job, and that they consulted me whenever there was a question (such as the height of the shelves and bench seat in the shower). I wasn't thrilled about having to pay in full for the project a month before the work was done, but everything turned out 100% great. As a bonus, they were thousands of dollars cheaper than Kohler's tub conversion pricing, and I'm very satisfied with their quality. I can happily give ReBath a great recommendation."

FAQs for attic remodeling projects in Richfield, OH

A loft conversion turns your unused attic or loft into a functional living space, like a bedroom or home office. Adding walls, ceilings, lighting, and even plumbing seamlessly integrates the new room with the rest of your home. It's a practical way to expand your living area and boost your property's value.

A loft is a finished and integrated living space created by converting an attic, while an attic is an isolated, unfinished area under the roof. The loft conversion process installs proper walls, ceilings, and utilities, transforming the space into a usable room that adds value to the home. In contrast, an attic remains largely unmodified and is typically reserved for storage.

Planning permission is required for a loft conversion because the project alters the structure and must meet strict building codes. A building permit, costing between $500 and $3,000, and mechanical permits, costing between $10 and $500 each, are mandatory. This regulatory process ensures safety, adherence to design standards, and the home's overall integrity during conversion.

A loft conversion takes several weeks because the project involves multiple phases, from design to finishing. The process requires careful planning, obtaining permits, executing structural changes, installing utilities, and completing final decorative work to ensure the converted area meets building codes and the homeowner’s requirements.

Choosing an alternative project instead of a loft conversion can be advantageous when a less complex project's return on investment is higher. Homeowners may opt for improvements like upgrading doors, windows, or adding a deck because these projects demand lower overall costs and fewer structural changes. Such alternatives can enhance home value and functionality with a more streamlined process.
