"Everything was great. Harry was very helpful in assisting us with our kitchen design. The kitchen cabinets are absolutely beautiful. The crown molding craftmanship was absolute artistry. The back splash installation fabulous. The installation team was very professional and courteous. We have a severely autistic son that their crew worked around his schedule to minimize the construction impact on his day. We had some additional work performed that included repairing of the drywall damaged by our son, painting of the living room, kitchen, and dining room and installation of recessed lighting in the three spaces. They even replaced our old door doors with beautiful elegant doors. We are so happy with everything. Being mindful of our home, they also consistently cleaned their workspace at the end of the day. We are so ecstatic. It feels like we are in a new home."

"Niko and Walt did an excellent and professional job of tearing out and installing a new backsplash in our kitchen and tile floor in our laundry room. The work was done promptly, clean and at a reasonable price. Will definitely use them again in the future if needed."

"We hired elegance to replace our master bath that was original to our home. From the very beginning of our interaction we felt comfortable with Marc. He was never aggressive, and we sincerely appreciated that as we have heard many horror stories about pushy sales people. We were unsure as to what materials we wanted to use and even unsure of where our budget should have been. Marc took a lot of time and was very patient with us as we probably changed our mind a good 20 times. There was a short wait once everything was chosen in order to get the product . Once the project began, everything went VERY smoothly and we could not be more pleased with our new bathroom! Marc is a man of his word and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. We constantly rave about this company and suggest to anyone we can that they use them!!! Keep up the good work guys!

"The crew members performing the work were punctual, clean and respectful of the house. The work performed was immaculate while the price was more than fair! Would certainly hire again and recommend to anyone. The house is 2800sq ft for price reference."

FAQs for laminate countertops installation projects in Rio Grande, NJ

With the right care and a professional installation, laminate counters last 10 to 15 years. Wipe up spills quickly, clean with a nonabrasive product, and keep hot pots off the surface to prevent warping or scorch marks. Limiting prolonged moisture at seams also pays off. Your installer can walk you through simple maintenance habits that will help you squeeze every year out of your new counters.

Yes—if the existing laminate is solid and level, a pro can bond a fresh sheet right on top. They’ll rough up the old surface, apply the correct adhesive, and make precise cuts so the new layer sits tight. Skipping steps can lead to bubbles or weak seams, so this project is best left to an experienced installer who has the tools to deliver a clean, durable finish.

Absolutely, you can give tired laminate a facelift with paint, tile, or a concrete overlay instead of a full tear-out. The key is thorough prep: clean, degrease, and lightly sand so the new finish sticks.

Follow the product instructions for primer, sealers, and cure times, or hire a pro if you’d rather avoid the mess. When done correctly, these updates freshen the look and add a few more years of useful life.

Mix baking soda with just enough water to form a paste, then spread it over the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Wipe away with a soft, damp cloth—don’t scrub, as abrasives can dull the surface. Repeat if needed. For stubborn marks, ask your installer about cleaners made specifically for laminate.

Laminate isn’t built to battle the elements. Water, UV rays, and temperature swings quickly cause swelling, fading, and mold. Even a covered patio won’t protect the material for long. If you’re planning an outdoor kitchen or bar, skip laminate and choose a weather-tough option like stone, tile, or concrete so you don’t end up replacing your counters after the first season.

Traditional laminate isn’t the greenest choice. Most sheets rely on plastics like melamine and can emit trace VOCs over time. They also can’t be recycled at the end of their life. A few brands now use recycled pulp cores, but plastics still make up much of the product.

If sustainability tops your list, consider natural or recyclable materials such as solid wood, stone, or recycled glass instead.
