"The folks at Carpet Works do excellent work. They showed up right on time. The carpets look amazing now, every last spot is out. They got almost all of the water out in the cleaning process, and carpets felt dry the same evening as the cleaning. Very happy with their service."

"From the moment we walked into The Floor Store Randy bent over backwards to help us find the right tile and carpet for our lake house. There was never any pressure and he allowed us to take any samples we wanted with us to compare on site. Everything he did was timely and professional and the installers he sent out were some of the best we have ever worked with and this is our 5th house. I can't say enough about how positive the experience was working with Randy and his team."

"Last year we had new windows and outside fencing installed by the, and quot;otherand quot; home improvement store. It was one big headache!! They aplogized by offering us a 10% discount on our next purchase. Really? So for this year's home project we decided to go with Home Depot. We had laminate flooring and carpeting installed. Both installs were done quickly and most importantly they were done correctly the first time! The contractors were courteous and they cleaned up after themselves. During the installs they kept us informed about the install and pointing out things that we should know. We will use Hoem Depot again for home improvemnts. <br />"

"Damon helped with the carpet selection and helped us to make our decision. The job was well done. The price was excellent! The installers Julian and Jeff were courteous, helpful and worked really hard. We were in a hurry because company was coming soon and we had a trip planned and they worked very hard to get it done for us. They ordered the carpet and completed the job within three weeks."

"We really loved Nathan the sales person who came to measure the area we had tiled. He came to measure on a Sunday. He was professional and gave us a great quote. We had an issue with the installer, but Nathan quickly found a wonderful two wonderful brothers, Angel and his brother who removed our carpet and installed our tile. It looks so beautiful and a couple of our friends are going to get their tile installed with them because of the quality of their work and professionalism. We would highly recommend them and are going to use them again ourselves."

"I was very pleased with all aspects of the service. Jacob, the technician, knew so much about carpets and stains and cleaning products that I was confident he made the best choices for my needs. My carpet looks much better and this was the first time the carpet actually was dry by evening."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Rio Rancho, NM

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
