"I really could not have asked for better administrative and management service. The actual work and the carpenter himself was equally as great. The carpenter was creative in delivering a great product. I would like to assume that some carpenter would have charged a bit less, but it would not have been worth the savings to either get inferior service, a headache, or a questionable product."

"SPU GC & Roofing did an excellent job. Steve was a pleasure to work with. He explained the process in full detail. He answered all our questions and addressed any concerns. In addition to the replacing the roof he installed solatube (skylights). This helped lighten the house. His crew was very professional and meticulous. The roof looks great. My parents loved the work and they too hired SPU to replace their roof. We continue to recommend SPU to family and friends."

"Job well done Miguel’s roofing masonry was very professional done. Great job. highly recommend. thanks, Angie."

"Carrington Roofing did my tear-off and replace roof 10 years ago. Although I have not been on the roof, I thought they did a great job, fast, efficient, and good price, so I wanted to consider them for this contract. :-)
I contacted three top-rated vendors from Angie's List.  One didn't respond at all, and two responded quickly.  I got a quote from Tristan Carrington and the one other vendor.
The other vendor's email estimate was very nicely put together, very polished, super quick.  Carrington's estimate took a couple days longer and was basic - plain text and delivered by email as well.
However the big difference, was that CARRINGTON WAS ABOUT HALF THE COST of the other estimate.  I compared the materials and work to be performed and found them roughly equal but for very different prices.
Communication was great - email and phone I got great customer service from Tristan every step along the way from quote to completion.  Any little question or problem was addressed easily.  He asked us to do walkarounds during and after so we knew what was going on.  The guys that did the job were very nice, worked around the changing weather, and did excellent clean up.
It's hard to know sometimes what to pay for these things, so all you can do is shop around and talk to other homeowners to come up with comparables for similar work.  Clearly I could have paid more but maybe I could have gotten it done for less?
But we are happy with the work done, and feel confident recommending Carrington Roofing.

"Tim (owner) and his team were true professionals that got the job done right the first time, on time, and within budget. I would recommend S & E roofing to anybody who needs their home roof replaced. I liked that Tim was honest/upfront with his pricing, and he was quick to turnaround with an answer to any question I had.

"This was an emergency job on a weekend. The workers arrived on schedule and did a great job. The crew chief communicated well before and after the job. David also followed up and explained what they did and pointed out issues with our roof that need attention. The workers even came back to do some clean up of ice left on our gangway. A very professional organization."

"The workers did an excellent job with the roof and cleanup. They took the time to do it right. Even though it was originally to be a one day job, it was so windy on the installation day they had to leave but came back at 7:00 AM the next day to finish the job. I definitely plan to use them for future projects."

"Worked with sales associate Eric N. throughout the whole process (inspection, estimate, scheduling, and post construction inspection/follow-up). At the start, he took time to point out all the issues that were present with my roof and explained all options Matthews would provide to replace it. He also explained how their 10-year warranty works and that Matthews would inspect their work every few years (no costs to do inspections but if repairs are needed a small fee for labor is required). After the work order was signed, Matthews was able to start the project four weeks later. As for the work itself, it was done in a timely manner and all debris/waste/dust had been completely cleaned up. On post-inspection of the work, there were a few items that needed to be corrected but Eric was able to address and resolve those issues immediately. One example was an error of the skylight (the wrong design was ordered/installed). He was able to get a new one ordered and installed a few months later (ordering the skylight took a few weeks but Matthews could not install immediately due to the snow/extreme cold). For the "inconvenience", he was able to have gutter guards added for no additional charge. Overall, I am happy of the work done by Matthews. Eric was very pleasant to work with as well. Would definitely use Matthews/Eric again for any roofing projects I would have."

"Everything was great. I thought the installers were very friendly. They were on time and worked very hard. I have signed a 3 year contract for them to complete the work in the future."
