"No problems with the quality of the work or the time it took, but it was surprisingly expensive. So much so that I almost regretted having the work done. The plumber found the shut-off valves inoperable and began replacing them without telling me about it or the additional cost. I should have looked over his shoulder more often and asked more questions, but I did not. Any repairman beginning additional repairs without asking really rubs me the wrong way and leads to a "B" rating at best and a "No" on hiring again. Learn from my mistake: make certain that you do your research on pricing and agree on a price range and scope of work with Geiler (or anyone, for that matter) before they begin the work."

"Not well. It was a young guy who did not bring the proper tools to complete the job. He said that he had forgot the rotor rooter and would need to go get it. Well, some how that changed to him saying that he tried to unplug it with some other piping tool he had but couldn't clear it and if we still wanted it clear, we would need to call back and set it up with John for an additional fee of over $200. I was not happy about this. Me and my husband decided to call a professional well service company and they told us that our well was fine. It was not going dry and what needed to be done was that the well pump had to be replaced. That company was C&J Well and Drilling from Brownsburg. If you have a well, I would highly recommend them, not John & John. We have been customers of John & John for years. They were always my go to plumbing company and I would typically probably rate them an A-B for regular plumbing service. After this apt. though, I could not ever give them a professional rating like that again. The young man was very friendly, but had to stay on the phone with his boss to figure out what the problem was. I don't think it was all his fault. I think they should have sent someone with more experience in servicing wells. I do think it's his fault for not bringing the rotor rooter though. I don't think it's appropriate to come and complete service without the proper tools. I gave the office a detailed explanation of the problems that I was experiencing and feel that they should have at least came prepared to fix the problem. I think carrying a rotor rooter should be a necessary, basic tool to carry as a plumber. Maybe I'm wrong. Just my thoughts. Unfortunately, I will not be able to use them again. I hope they are able to make some improvements to the company."

"Travis did an outstanding job. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had everything back up and running in short order. It turned out to be that a mouse had chewed through the wire that controls the condenser fan and had also damaged another wire. Travis repaired/replaced the wires in a short amount of time and had us back up and running quickly. I was especially impressed that they dispatched a technician so quickly on a Sunday and did not charge me an upcharge for a weekend visit. I have used Lanz for furnace work, air conditioning, water heater, and sump pump repairs. I continue to be impressed with their service, pricing, responsiveness, and quality of work. "They installed a new furnace, air conditioner & humidifier. We've had them for probably seven or eight years.  We bought a new furnace, air conditioning, and humidifier. They give an annual inspection every Spring and Fall. They change the filter and check everything out.  We're on a monthly plan so we pay a little bit every month, so then we get a free check-up in the Spring and the Fall.  The cost covers the Spring and Fall check. What it doesn't cover is the filter, but we get a discount on the filters.  We pay a monthly fee. It's just automatically taken out of our account.  I like the service and I like the people.  On price I'm not sure everybody wants to do it that way. You end up with a twice a year service and discount on everything that you buy. It suits our purposes. We like it. But not everybody would want to pay something every month. You don't have to do it that way; you can pay as you go.  They really are top quality people.  They're very responsive and that's the other reason I like being on a monthly plan, because if we have any problem at all, they come out.  They set up an appointment, they call and they tell us when they're coming, and then they call when they're on their way; maybe 5 minutes out. So you always know when they're coming, within minutes.  Their professionalism is excellent.  We have continued to use them again."
