"No problems with the quality of the work or the time it took, but it was surprisingly expensive. So much so that I almost regretted having the work done. The plumber found the shut-off valves inoperable and began replacing them without telling me about it or the additional cost. I should have looked over his shoulder more often and asked more questions, but I did not. Any repairman beginning additional repairs without asking really rubs me the wrong way and leads to a "B" rating at best and a "No" on hiring again. Learn from my mistake: make certain that you do your research on pricing and agree on a price range and scope of work with Geiler (or anyone, for that matter) before they begin the work."

"They have done well us. They have an emergency service. I recommend them. They are one of the services around town that do a good job. I have never been upset with them. They call before they come. I have been happy with their service and they get right back to us. Some of their technicians are professional but some are not as professional as I would like."

"<p>I did not get them off Angie's List. Their price was expensive. I guess their quality was okay; I have not had any more complaints. The work they did was in a rental house and I am trying to weigh both sides of everything. They are not my first call on the list. I have used their services and their work, as far as I know, was adequate, or my tenants would have complained. The way I found out about this company is I was referred to some man, by the woman at the bank. I thought he was doing the work  I talked to him on the phone  then come to find out this John & John company called me and they were here doing the work. I asked them what they were doing here. I did not stay there with them but they got the job done so I would say they did it in a timely fashion. The only thing I did not like with that company is the deal they had with that employee. It was just such a surprise. They are expensive, but so is everybody else. </p>"

"When i picked up my vehicle, 2011 Chev HHR, I was surprised that my care required a synthetic oil and that this was much more expensive than a regula oil change.  Brian explained that the manufacturer would void the warranty if synthetic wasn't used.  I am thankful he caught this, as other oil change locations (including a Chevrolet Dealer) did not use synthitic oil. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Rochester, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
