"Our washing machine broke down on Saturday afternoon -- why do appliances always break on the weekend? -- and it is no longer covered by warranty. We had used A & S before and were very satisfied with their service so we thought we would try them again.  We called them early Monday morning and they agreed to send a tech between 3:00 and 6:00 that day.  At 3:00, the tech Schuyler called to inform us that he would be at our home in 10 minutes.  We showed him the washer and described the problem.  He checked out the unit and quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken motor coupler.  He gave us an estimate for the time and cost to repair and we agreed.  He had the necessary part and tools in his truck and quickly returned to make the repair. He carefully moved a few things out of his way in the laundry room and tilted the washer in order to make the repair.  All told, he took about 15 minutes to remove the damaged part and install the replacement.  After he re-positioned the washer and replaced the items that he had to move, he tested the machine thoroughly and let it run while he returned his tools to his truck and wrote up the invoice.  He also gave us his cell phone number so we could call him in case we noticed any problems with the repair.  The invoice price matched the estimate exactly, as it should.  Overall, it was another excellent experience with a very good service company."

"I was searching Home Warranty providers after a bad experience with my 7 year, soon to be terminated "former" Fidelity Home Warranty service provider. Warranty service providers are essential, for they step in and "act" when life deals you an "Oh Crap" situation like your refrigerator suddenly quits. Every high dollar appliance in a home has a life span that will end whether your prepared for it or not. It's a common occurance that leads to unexpected higher debt concerns while you frantically attempt to save your food from going bad. Got a minimum of $1,700 to get a new one? A truck or a really good friend to borrow theirs to pick it up? Plus time to allow it to achieve proper temperature to transfer your temp sensitive food! Well if you haven't experienced this type of event, in your life, you will! I began by doing some easy research online like searching for best Home Warranty providers. I put some inquiries out to prospective providers and as expected, the sales calls began to ring on my phone. They all have why "they" are the best provider - so take notes and compare policies. Ask whether they cover swimming pools, septic systems, roof repairs etc. So my phone rings with an out-of-state area code and it's Zach from Choice Home Warranty. While on the call, this enthusiastic salesman hit all the "trigger" items I was looking for; *Annual Service Price *Price per claim deductable *Response time You know, all the "need to know" info that helps you make an informative decision. I started paying $550/year 7 years ago in 2014 with my old service provider. The per claim fee was $65. Today in 2022, it's $710/year and $85/claim. Was it worth it you ask? If I figure the math, my total cost over 7 years and only 4 claims was $4,450 or $636/year. This cost paid to replace my pools salt cell and chlorine generator ($1,800 in parts alone), 2 separate Air Conditioner repairs which replaced the coil fan motor, a circuit board replacement, system coil cleansing, relays and a capacitor. (No idea of how much my total cost would have been. I paid $65 twice. Nice huh?) 1 roof repair that replaced the "Cricket", which is a 15' roof section elevational change just below the ridge line. It's important to remember that these repairs don't include "hidden costs" which are personnel and service labor rates. Something you will pay for without a Warranty Service. Here's the best part of the call from this AWESOME salesman. He offered me 6 year "fully transferable", rate locked for life" service policy that when divided out by 6 is LESS THAN WHAT I WAS PAYING ANNUALLY, 7 YEARS AGO!!! So, is a Home Warranty plan a safe bet??? I have a 9 word answer for those without a Choice Home Warranty service plan. YOU BET YOUR DRIPPING SWEATY BUTT CRACK IT IS!!! Props to Zach, YOU DA MAN!!! "After voicing my disappointment regarding one aspect of my first service (11/29,)* I was amazed at the response I received! Ben personally called me, apolgozied and told me that he would service our upstairs ducts for free. When I talked with Jenny to make the next appointment, she was very apologetic and helpful as well. Ben came a few days later (today,) again on-time and very pleasant. Not only that, he brought a bouquet of flowers as an "I'm sorry" for the first service. It is clear that Ben takes a lot of pride in doing quality work, which is refreshing to see. I am very impressed with Dean's Service commitment to customer satisfaction! A special thanks to both Jenny and Ben for going above and beyond!!
*Ben was a great technician- friendly, on-time and honest, but I was disappointed at the amount of dirt left behind after the service. When I called and explained the situation (I also provided pictures,) I was informed that we had a considerable amount of sand in our vents (which is atypical,) and that most likely caused the excess dirt deposits on the surfaces nearby.

"The job was to remove a load bearing wall, install new kitchen (we purchased cabinets, quartz countertops, backsplash tile and appliances separately), install new trim and crown molding, new bamboo flooring (purchased separately), install new electrical outlets, install can lights and build a custom wine rack and liquor cabinet. The demo of the load bearing wall required moving electrical and HVAC ducts that fed to an upstairs bed room. Kip met with us a few hours to bid the job and do a CAD mockup of the finished product. He left us with a scope of work and told us that the price wouldn't change unless we added it deducted from the scope of work. He kept to his word and did not charge us a penny more that what we agreed to, even when unexpected fixes came up during construction. A team of 2-3 workers showed up almost every morning at 7am and worked all day while we were at work. They also worked on weekends to ensure things were done on time. On weekends they always checked with us to see what time was appropriate for them to show up. We got to talk to Scott, our project manager, every morning about the status of the job, how we liked what was done so far and if we wanted anything changed or done differently. We thought that was extremely thoughtful and we're happy to give our input when needed. Scott was a perfectionist and went above and beyond to make sure that everything was done to the standard he would expect in his own him. When the job was done, Kip had the areas of the house that were remodeled cleaned out and came back 2 weeks later to fix anything we saw that wasn't perfect. He also told us that the work is under warranty, so anything doesn't will be replaced or fixed. Kip (owner) and his team did an amazing job on our home remodel. The crew was very friendly, accommodating and respectful of our home. We will definitely work with kip again and world recommend him to anyone."
