"My house has a long living room/dining room and I have been using the dining room part as my home office. I wanted to have a divider wall with a framed doorway put in to officially separate the 2 rooms. I know this is a small job so some contractors were not interested. However Joe Powers told me he could do my job between some of his larger jobs. He did it in 3 days spread over a week. The wall was framed, taped, and textured and new electric outlets were put in. Everything went according to plan and looks great! Joe and his assistant were prompt, professional, and courteous and cleaned up at the end of each day. If I have more jobs, I would definitely hire them again."

"Manuel showed up on time, knew what needed to be done, got a general lay of the land and set to work. I had inadvertently purchased a European light fixture so the parts weren’t a match. He patiently worked with me to figure out a solution and now I have an amazing stairwell light! Warren was responsive and helpful. If you need handymen work at your home, I highly recommend!"

"Overpriced/poor quality/poor customer service. Did not go well. Would not recommend. Got a total of five bids, and these guys were the most expensive. Decided to go with them anyway because they were able to do the carpentry (dry rot repair) and the exterior paint job without subbing anything out, and because they took their time with the estimate, put on a professional front, spoke good english, and had a good reputation. My bad. The owners of the company handed the work of to other contractors, and left me to deal with all the problems, telling me that the contractors (which spoke poor english) were their "front" and that I should deal with them. Their carpenters damaged my rain gutters and roof, and denied that they had done anything even though I had before and after photos. Took weeks to resolve, and my gutters still don't look right. Pretty much the same story with the painters. They barely did any prep work, didn't follow any of the instructions that I had given the company owners at job start, and did sloppy low quality work. I spent several days fixing their slop. Lastly, they are WAY overpriced. Stay clear unless you like over paying for frustration. Just go with the low bid and save a few bucks."

"My favorite part of working with Barrett was his receptiveness to my vision and his continual attention to the details.  Barrett not only did everything I asked, but the standards he set for himself met or exceeded my own.  Even while my floor was placed on back-order and we had to sit idle for a couple of weeks, he moved his calendar and made it happen.  He did take an extra day than what he initially estimated, but the quality of the work was well worth the extra.  My wife especially appreciated that he kept the work-site clean throughout the process, and I appreciated the respect he gave. <br /> I would certainly recommend Barrett and expect to use his services again.  He is a one-man operation and does not contract out.  If you're looking for an earnest contractor that holds himself accountable, look no more. <br />"

"I needed an interior dividing wall to split up my 3-car garage into a 2-car garage and a space for my woodworking shop. Besides constructing the wall, I needed more power outlets, rewiring of the overhead lights, addition of more ceiling lights, addition of a door, and 18" holes in the exterior walls for exhaust fans. Terri responded quickly to my inquiry She patiently discussed my requirements, including my schedule. Of the three contractors that I interviewed, Terri gave me the most confidence. The crew worked closely with me regarding major details - location and mounting of the exhaust fans, electrical outlets, switches, the door etc. The two craftsmen worked with me, asking and answering questions, and offering options on the construction. I am very pleased with the results! It exceeded my expectations. No shortcuts were taken, the quality is great. I would certainly hire SheCan2 for my next project."

"We were truly blessed to have found Paul Kearney. We had a complete kitchen and half bathroom remodel. I had a vision and he never once made me feel like it was unattainable. His workers were professional and performed above our expectations. I went from a 1975 run down kitchen to a beautiful southern contemporary one. I truly have a kitchen right out of a magazine. I am in complete awe of his work and professionalism. One thing we appreciated and valued the most is when we were given a hard time from a third party vendor he made sure he was available and we would not be taken advantage of. If your are looking for a general contractor he is the one. You will not regret it. We will never use another contractor and are very grateful and pleased that the entire process was smooth, fast, professional and just amazing!! FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Rumsey, CA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
