"After several delays on the delivery and getting the work done. Unfortunately, when the workers showed up the first time, someone forgot the order the siding to be delivered or the siding company forgot they had to deliver it. Then when the workers were finished, they didn't clean up that good. I found razor blades on the ground and the extra siding and materials were left. The work does look great but cleanup should also be a priority."

"Overall:  Gene and his crew are amazing. Extremely professional, punctual, personable, and honest. He's not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.  He's a perfectionist who understands and enjoys working on older homes.  Would strongly recommend and use again.  <br /> We own a 100 year old Craftsman home in DC.  Gene has a good understanding of how our old home was constructed and what was needed to get the job done.  Despite the large scale of our project, there were no major adjustments to our original quote.  He did an amazing job of mating the new construction (moulding, trim, etc..) with the original/old work.  He's one of those select few who takes joy in working on older homes.  <br /> Gene is a perfectionist.  He redid multiple phases of the project (at no cost) because things were not "perfect.", including: reframing, retiling and regrouting a few areas, and replacing fans that were too loud.   The end result is magazine photo worthy.  Again, you get what you pay for. <br /> They arrived every day on time, and their daily clean up was so good you could eat off the floor. His crew was very courteous. They even helped my elderly neighbor. Her glass dinning room table shattered.  They cleaned it up and fabricated a temporary table so that she had a place to eat until she got a new table. <br /> As with any project of this scale, there were a few hiccups.  Some furniture got damaged but Gene went out of his way to remedy the situation...bringing in a furniture restoration company. <br /> If you want someone who takes pride in his work, is a perfectionist, honest, and places the customer's satisfaction over his bottom line, then Gene is your guy. <br /> My 2 year old already misses him. Gene would often bring my son surprise presents.  My son's always asking "where's Gene?"  <br /> We've had many contractors work on our house.  Gene is hands down the best.  Highly recommend. <br /> My only regret in providing this review is that he will be harder to get the next time we need him. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"American Custom Contractors did an outstanding job replacing the roof, woodwork, trim, and gutters on our historic 1910 home. The ACC work crews, including carpenters, roofers, and gutter specialists, were highly skilled and experienced. Yanni Agouridis, our project consultant, was extremely helpful in working out the details of the engagement at the outset. Blase Skully, project supervisor and quality assurance manager, was always available to answer many questions and provide advice as we refined the scope of work and the project progressed. He made sure they delivered exactly what we were seeking to accomplish. Blase was also sensitive to ensuring that the historic look of the house was maintained and enhanced by the materials they used and the work they did. The result is beautiful. We get many complements on our new roof and gutters. We highly recommend American Custom Contractors."

"We had locked ourselves out and had to "breakdown" the back door. Jared replaced the back door along with installing new trim work. We also had him tile the wall around our file place. It looks like the fireplace was built into this stone wall! Also he replaced the wood balusters with Antique Copper metal balusters. He is/was always prompt, cheerful & courteous. Very attentive to detail and never left a mess. Never rushed his work which impressed me. I have a "punch" list from a previous contractor and plan to have Jared finish all the unfinished work this other contractor left as I believe in his work."

"My wife and I are incredibly satisfied with our renovated home. From the design work done by Dave at NRG to very efficiently use our limited space, to the on-schedule completion of the work to facilitate our tight move-out/move-in schedule, to the outstanding punch list finishing work the NRG team did to make the minor repairs involved in every home project, to NRG's doggedness and determination to make sure we are satisfied all the way to the finish line--we really couldn't ask for a better home renovation experience. Even after unexpected but essential change orders like a new roof and sistered first floor joists, and the inclusion of the unanticipated desires like the purchase and installation of the basement Murphy bed, NRG's original price estimate was within a couple percent of the final total, which really says something about the effort and quality Dave and the NRG team put into their work, their professionalism, and their determination to get it right. My wife and I got everything we wanted at the price NRG quoted, which was right smack in the middle of the five bids we received and was quite fair and reasonable. NRG's commitment to stand by their work has given me great peace of mind. We have had minor hiccups since moving back in, each of which has been successfully and quickly resolved, and whenever something unexpected occurs, I remember and rest on Dave's assurance: "If there's an issue, we'll fix it. "This spring/summer (2018) it rained a lot and the back of my home had a leak. It was supposedly repaired by re-caulking the sunroom but when it started raining again - the leak was back. I was so confused and was lucky to find Lewis. It was so hard to find someone to come out and look at the issue. Lewis was awesome! He returned my call the same day, was honest about the timeline and was able to look at the roof in a few days. He sent me pictures and recommended the repair. I could only see the leak inside my house and I knew I had the right person when he said: "do you have a leak in the rear corner of your home?" He explained that the flashing had come loose and he also gave me advice on another issue - cracks in the chimney. He also gave me guidance on the health of my roof. As a new homeowner, it was a relief to find someone who was honest and educated me on what I needed. I'll call Lou again this spring to repair the chimney and then again when the roof needs replacing."
