"Our central air unit died and we called Sila due to the good reviews. Turns out they won’t install a new AC unit if the furnace is more than 10 years old (ours was). So we had to do both at once (ouch). They started off quoting us $11k over the phone, then it jumped up to $16 when they saw our system in person. (1950 sq foot house). Finally they came back with $13k for the cheapest system in our size range. Overall I think we really overpaid and it left a bad taste in my mouth. That said, Sila gets an A+ for availability and service. They came and installed next day which was essential because we have a young child and it was over 90 degrees that week. Actual installation was great. System works well. Next time I’ll anticipate a system replacement before we get to an emergency situation. I think this could have been done for thousands cheaper, on a longer timeline."

"The process was slow initially as I had to interview several HVAC before finding 3 who were willing to do the work. One was priced much too high and I didn't like the initial proposal of the placement of lines. Another contractor didn't fill me with confidence and they are part of a company that split off with different franchises (I believe). NETR's contact person, Russell, who evaluated the project was open to the idea as well as followed up with technical advice as this was a nonconforming application. After several reviews by NETR personnel and outside engineers to make sure there was enough airflow for the compressor, where and how to run the lines inside the loft; I had my carpenter build an aluminum box which took time as it was custom-ordered of sheets to be build on premises. After it was setup, NETR took over, evaluated the box, re-reviewed the plans, and subsequently sent 2 very competent techies. The job took 3 1/2 days which was fine with me. The last day a 3rd technician replaced one who had to go over to another job. They were polite and answered any questions I had. They left the place in clean condition. The system lines looks very nicely put together, works beautifully, cools the condo very nicely (remember 23 5' high windows w/plenty of solar gain). They subcontracted an experienced electrician who's expert workmanship convinced me that I will use him for future work. Terrific company who's customer service is conscientious and with good follow-through. Their abilities and experience revealed themselves in this application and I'm very grateful that they wanted to try out this nonconforming application as the only options left to me were window ACs which I find unsatisfactory, and in the bedroom impossible to sleep with while on. <br />"

"I found the company through the Costco program. For some reason, it took awhile to reach them through Costco (they stated personnel changes in sales department). However, once I did reach them, they were great! Andy came to the house and was very thorough and professional.Ultimately, we do not end up using their services, but they were very good, and I would suggest them to others."

"The repair went well. Our HVAC system would not turn on so Mike showed up earlier than scheduled (I was called first for the ok) and got right to business. He found the problem- a blow fuse in the unit itself. Once he replaced the fuse the system still would not turn on, but the circuit board that runs the system did light up. he checked out the electrical to make sure there was not a short that caused the problem. It seemed baffling as to the issue so he went outside and checked to see if the electrical issue was at the compressor. Sure enough an animal had chewed thru some of the wiring on the compressor. He spliced the wires together and the system started up, I applaud him for not assuming that the board was faulty and just replacing the board. I would say that Mike did an A+ job troubleshooting to determine what the issue was. The only problem was the cost, and I suppose I should have asked more questions. I asked how much to come out and was told $99 to troubleshoot, but I never asked what other charges apply. Apparently the charge is $99 just to show up and troubleshoot the issue, then $220 per hour is added to that for Mike's time there. I felt $319 was a little steep, but perhaps that is the going rate. I want to emphasize that Mike did an excellent job of solving the issue."

"Joe explained various options (models, efficiency rating, attic vs. cellar installation, etc.) thoroughly, promptly followed through on my follow-up questions, and prepared a detailed & accurate quote. He measured the size of the house and cold-air returns to ensure the system was sized properly. He is a patient guy & very pleasant to work with. Scheduling the installation was painless, the installers (Steve and his assistant Derek) started on time, and worked diligently & efficiently. <br /> Everyone is very experienced and knowledgeable, and all clearly take pride in their work. They kept in excellent communication with me throughout the installation. They were respectful of my home, my concerns, my pets, etc. <br /> They stand by what they sell, too. This winter, about 18 months after it was installed, my tankless hot water heater had a factory defect that caused it to shut off. Steve came the day I reported the problem, was on the phone with the manufacturer for hours to diagnose the issue, and came back twice more to finish the repair (3 visits might sound absurd, but it wasn't Airco's problem, it was the manufacturer's, as they were misdiagnosing the issue). The unit is now working perfectly thanks to Steve's persistence. A bonus: Airco charged me for only a small portion of Steve's time from his initial visit. They ate the cost of his additional visits! Matt sent his team out on Monday and the A/Cs were up and running in about 40 minutes. There was no leak. They worked beautifully all summer. My neighbor's went out this year - her unit was about 5 years older than mine. I gave her NextGenAire's contact info and she just replaced her unit. She is very happy with the price and service."

I had 4-5 people out to look at it and I thought Atlantic (Bill) was by far the most knowledgable and had the best understanding of what I needed, and did the best job explaining it to me. Their pricing was about the same as everyone else so that was the reason I went with them. After we scheduled the install I didn't hear from them until the day before (a Sunday) when I had to reach out to the office. But other than that the installation couldn't have been smoother. Kyle and his team were exactly on time each morning and were very nice and professional and got everything installed smoothly with very minimal need from me. Would definitely recommend."
