"We contacted Chambliss Plumbing to replace an old leaky bathroom faucet. The people we talked to were great at explaining their rates (very reasonable) and other aspects of using their services. The plumber for our job even called ahead when he finished a previous job early to see if he could come ahead to do our work. He was efficient, knowledgeable, very professional and friendly. We will definitely contact Chambliss again with our plumbing needs."

"Initial install went well during home construction. Roland was available during the construction phase and helped detect a roofing problem. Since moving in and using the stove, I found issues with ventilation of the stove and smoke in the house. Roland told me my house is air tight and therefore there is insufficient oxygen in the house to sustain a fire in the wood stove. Completely unreasonable explanation for lack of ventilation in a wood burning stove and wanted to argue about it. Diagnosis was over the phone and no offer made to see the problem I am experiencing. Not saying this is his fault but there is definitely something wrong. There may have been some unknown damage done during construction but his response is very unsettling when dealing with the potential fire damage in a home."

"Nice guy, did a bunch of prep work which is good, did a good job on the wall texture. Put up plastic all over the bathroom as to not get it all over, but the week after I found texture splatters all over the place. Small areas but all over, my water pick and electric toothbrush, the mirror, the glass door to the shower, floor. These were not that noticeable till I started cleaning and realized what it was. He also cleaned his equipment next to the Air Conditioners out side unit. There are big specks of texture all over it, which might not have been a big issue but the unit was two weeks old and I didn’t see it till it was dried in the sun for a few days so had to clean it with a bush not just hose it off. Only other complaint would be he doesn’t work Saturdays, which is fine but I didn’t know till he was half threw and had to wait till Monday to finish."

"He came, he saw, he conquered. Our oven problems are long standing and we've had several techs come by to try and fix them, including a Sears tech since we bought there years ago. Liza's guy thought he isolated problem to either a probe or the clock, as he'd see this elsewhere. He left to get a probe first, as we could return that if it didn't solve things. He did not charge for the initial visit/diagnosis. After he returned and installed the probe, the oven worked fine."

"Good job examining and diagnosing refrigerator. Also looked at problems with stove and washer. All appliances were over 20 years old and he explained to us that parts needed were no longer available. He recommended replacement, rather than trying to repair. He spent a good deal of time researching and explaining to us the problems. We appreciated his honesty and decided to purchase new appliances. He gave us some brand recommendations and we used that information to make good purchases from local businesses."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in San Antonio, TX

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
