". I had a clog in one of the pipes going to the sewer which made the water to backup. Because it was after hour emergency, I had toleave my phone number. The plumber called back in no time and gathered all the information needed so he can bring the proper tools. HWhen he looked at the problem he quickly identified the clogged pipe and fixed. It took him more than 2 hrs becausre the cabl;e got stuck in the pipes but he only charged me for less what I expected. Great service plus they were able to provide very good recommendation while doing the service <br />"

"Lanz was the highest of 4 quotes from local plumbers when I was looking to have multiple plumbing jobs completed, including the purchase and installation of a new water heater. I went with Lanz on the water heater only because they were quick to respond and were able to install it 2 days after my request. The Lanz rep, Ken, was very professional. On installation day, he had a younger guy helping him who seemed to struggle quite a bit and scratched up some furniture while bringing the new water heater in. He also left a large pipe in the yard that I had to dispose of. I chose to go with the least expensive water heater and still paid $1439.21 with Lanz. Others were significantly lower in price, but definitely not as quick to respond or schedule."

"We had a sewer pipe outside called a boot and it broke and caused all of the sewer damage to come inside the house. They came in and were very fast and efficient in correcting the issue. They were fantastic and the price was great."

"Nick was very professional, courteous, punctual, and responsive. I was having water issues in the basement and he stated that he previous repair work done seemed fine. He believes it was from not having chimney caps, we added those plus he did chimney sweep which was long overdue since the house was purchased. I would use again. Price seemed fair. He offered a limited guarantee so if there are problems, he would come out and fix it. <br />"

"The best part of my experience with them is I think they did a good job installing the unit. I have an attic entrance back in my utility room and the problem I had with them was when they put the line in, they put it directly over where I enter my attic so I cannot get into my attic. So, I do have a problem with that, but aside from that, they did a good job. Their price is about where everybody else or a few dollars under. I do not have a problem with the quality. I did have a problem with their responsiveness. When they put the air conditioning unit in,   they messed up my heating system. When I called them to come out, they charged me $100 to repair what they had done. So, I was not happy with that. They showed up and they were on-time. They were professional."

FAQs for gas piping projects in San-jose, IL

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
