"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"Straight off the bat, let me start with saying I was tremendously pleased with both the final results of my recent remodel and the working relationship I had with Gary at GBP contracting. As my first major remodel, I had a lot of questions and took my time making choices. Gary was both patient and informative. Once the project started, I was in contact with Gary every day with progress and problems reported. It seems like a strange compliment to say he clearly outlined problems but as no remodel is free of bumps in the road , I sincerely appreciated knowing the details of both the good and the bad. For example there was a problem with getting delivery of my preferred trim. Gary offered alternatives which helped me make final decisions. I changed my mind about the paint color after disliking my first choice. Without any fuss, the painters came back the next day and made the change. The floor tile is beautiful. I had specialty shower tile that turned out better than I had even hoped. The remodel was a rousing success and I plan to use GBP for any future remodel projects without hesitation.

"Brian was able to fit the job in just a few days.  We discussed applying two coats and if the job required more time than two days, he would call me to authorize more time.  He arrived promptly and was courteous.  He proceeded to mask the woodwork and carpet, which worked to protect both.  
I was out-of-state when Brian worked.  He painted one coat throughout and did not call to put in more time or ask my opinion of the work.  As a result of having only one coat, there are many places where the old mustard color from the previous homeowner is not completely covered.  I am going to have another painter apply a second coat.

"I chose them because the pitch man convinced me they were the best and they were $260  while others I called were $300 and adding termite inspection was $325 and his was included in the $260. On Monday morning at 8am of the planned inspection day, we found the 'current' owner had not turned the electricity on thus, the inspection could not take place. We were emailed the bill would be an additional $65 for the trip charge as it was a good 100 miles round trip and our error, not theirs. I felt bad so I accepted the additional charge. There went my saving a buck. Next we were emailed a new appointment day, Thursday at  11am. The inspector arrived Thursday at 8am.  Needless to say, it confused my whole day arriving three hours early. The inspector really did a good job, explaining everything to me so that I understood. Then he presented me with a $325 bill that we had agreed on and I paid. It being early in the morning I wasn't thinking clearly but later I called the business office and said  -  "Since we have an email stating 11am and the inspector showed up at 8am, your mistake, so I should get my $65 back from the trip charge when it was our mistake." The business office wanted nothing to do with that idea. The $65 was for the extra time and mileage, she said. What about the disruption to my schedule showing up at the wrong time. It didn't matter. Every other time I spoke with the woman in the office she was very kind but suddenly she wasn't any more.  Because they strictly wouldn't change the bill when it was their fault and because they are so far away, I will not use this company again.

"Before the onset of the remodel we discussed options with Samuel as we were under some time pressure. He was open to any project size that suited our needs. Ultimately he was able to provide very high quality solid wood cabinets at a very reasonable price but only in a few color options. If there was an issue with colors, Samuel gave us the option to paint any color. After some back and forth he got the units ordered and delivered in a timely fashion in a color that was a really good option. Samuel was very conscientious and took care of any details or options that seemed to arise. During remodel he actually identified a problem with a recently installed dishwasher that was leaking and waiting on a replacement unit. The Home Depot install crew failed to remove the disposal plug and was backing up into the dishwasher. Samuel found this issue and greatly improved my bargaining position with Home Depot. The whole project which was expanded to include flooring on our entry stairs and bathroom still finished on time and on budget. The flooring is really well placed and finished including the stair risers and noses which was another issue, this time with Lowes ending availability. Although an inconvenience, Samuel identified a good suitable replacement and finished the project from a secondary flooring source. Would highly recommend Samuel and really pleased with his work and the quality of the materials he recommended to us!"
