"Dave did a fantastic job installing two new toilets in my condo. He was very personable, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. The installation was done efficiently, everything looks great, and he made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable handyman."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"Most everything was good. They called me immediately after my request and offered to do A LOT of furniture assembly for $250-$300 I knew this was a lot, so I did not lowball or negotiate and said right away $300 was fine. They did assemble 2 rocking charges, 2 large bookcases, a console table, a hanging deck chair and its stand, a side chair and footstool in the bedroom and a TV cabinet. So, they did a lot arriving slightly early just before 10AM and stayed until roughly 3 PM. They did not complete the full size bed or vanity assembly but I honestly was fine with still paying them the $300 because so much was completed, they were conscious of our new carpet, and they did good work. However, my wife later told me that when she went to pay them one of the two asked for $400, and in her words they didnâ t seem to happy she wouldnâ t give extra. Hereâ s the thing, when you donâ t complete everything agreed to, leave after about 5 hours, I am already giving you extra. I was trying to be fair Honestly, I would still recommend them, but make sure you do a complete list of pricing and work to be completeld in writing (email)"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Sanders, KY

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
