"Unprofessional, Dishonest, and Left Us in the Cold If you have an emergency, do not call these people. total disaster from start to finish. It started with the dispatcher, who couldn't even manage to take down a phone number correctly, I had to repeat the number to her 5 times. Then, I was promised a 2:00PM-5:00 PM Friday arrival 01/09/2026. Pablo, the technician, didn't show up until nearly 7:00 PM on a Friday night. I was grateful for this, but it gets worse from here. When Pablo finally arrived, it felt like a total scam. He admitted he could have installed a generic part to get our heat running, but since it was late on a Friday, he clearly just wanted to go home. He chose to leave my family in the cold rather than doing his job. ? The Dishonesty: To make matters worse, he didn't even provide an estimate that he said he would provide via email. "

"I recently hired Josiah to do some electrical work at my home, and I had a great experience. He installed a new light in my living room and also fixed and replaced several outlets and light fixtures throughout the house. From start to finish, he did an excellent job. Josiah was professional, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was done safely and correctly. He arrived on time, explained the work clearly, and kept the area clean while he worked. Everything he repaired and installed works perfectly, and the new light in my living room looks great. I really appreciated his attention to detail and the quality of his work. I would definitely recommend Josiah to anyone looking for reliable electrical work and would gladly hire him again for future projects."

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Sandia Park, NM

To select and hire an electrician for your light switch installation, start by evaluating candidates as you would for any skilled position. Ask detailed questions, request a written quote, and verify their licensing credentials. This careful screening prevents unexpected fees and ensures every aspect of the installation, including any drywall repairs, complies with code.

A light switch can malfunction due to compromised wiring or overheating conditions. Faulty connections and excess heat diminish the switch’s performance. If you hear crackling, popping, or hissing sounds when toggling the switch, this indicates active electrical faults that pose a safety hazard and demand immediate professional inspection. Prompt attention prevents further damage and ensures reliable operation.

Installing a light switch takes 30 minutes or less, on average. The installation time depends on the switch type, with dimmer switches requiring additional time compared to standard on-off switches. While the hardware replacement might be completed in 15 minutes, it's essential to adhere to safety protocols, like turning off the circuit breaker and verifying there's no power, for a safe and code-compliant installation.
