"The quote process went well. Carlos is very knowledgeable about the trees and processes. The quoted cost was much 50%than other Arborists (which is different than a tree trimmer). When I asked why the price was high, The response was "I am offering a premium pruning, which consist of raising canopies, interior thinning, reduce away from home, balancing trees, deadwood, mistletoe and broken limbs removed, most importantly the Selective Pruning on the higher parts of tree that is strongly recommend." Based on this response, I hired them to do the job. They did a good job of installing the tree brace and cable system. They also did a nice job of pruning the Live Oak. However, the other 2 trees were given a very minimal trimming. Asked for them to return and complete the "Premium", They came back the next day and did the job completely. The trees now look great. In summary, they are capable, quick, knowledgeable and expensive, and may under-prune unless you are very clear on your instructions."

"Chad and his crew are awesome.  They arrived a bit earlier than I expected, which was great for me.  It was a team of 4 guys and lots of sawing equipment.  They got to work around 8:30 in the morning.  
They started with the front yard tree and trimmed from the top.  Everything went well without any problems and they had the tree down in about 2 hours.  They left a bit of the trunk there to switch to the backyard tree in an attempt to beat the incoming rain storm that was looming.  They didn't quite make it and the storm came in during the cutting of the 2nd tree.  I thought for sure we were going to have to split the work and reschedule, but Chad waited the 15-20 minutes for the storm to pass and his crew was able to cut the 2nd tree down with only a minor nick to some bricks; this was not a big deal.  With how big these trees were and the limited space in my yard, the fact that there was barely any damage at all was awesome.  There was no damage to the power lines.
The crew finished up the remainder of the trunk in the front yard and began cleaning everything up.  During this time, Chad went ahead and offered to chop down these two little 6ft trees that was near my fence and house.  He didn't charge me extra for the work, and I was very happy.  They cleaned up promptly and left my backyard cleaner than when they started and everything was packed and organized in the front, ready for city pickup.  
For the price and quality of the work, I couldn't be happier.  I could not recommend these guys more.

We have many mature trees that require frequent trimming. There are Live Oaks, Red Oaks, Crape Myrtles, Elms, Yaupon, and Japanese Maple. Over the years I have used several tree services, with mixed results.

I heard about S&P from neighbors who were very pleased with their work. I requested an estimate. Jesse came the next day. I was very impressed with his professional manner and the courtesy he showed me. The estimate was fair so we made an agreement.

The work was completed easily in one day with a large crew. Jesse was available throughout the day to make sure the work was being done to my satisfaction. The crew showed the same degree of professionalism and courtesy as I had seen from Jesse.

After the trimming, all the debris was removed carefully.

"Shane came out the day after my call, walked my yard and gave me an estimate on the work I requested plus a recommendation on future pruning work. I had specifically asked to have two small trees removed and for help ensuring two specimen Live Oak trees were well cared for. At that time he provided a written estimate in line with my expectations and suggested that the pruning of the Live Oaks could wait for a year or two. He was not pushing any particular specials or trying to get me to spend more than necessary. He was able to provide references and full insurance documentation without a problem. I scheduled the work, and they were able to get me on the schedule within a week or so. "Very well. The owner came to look over my trees, was VERY informative and detailed, even gave me lawn care advice. We scheduled the service, and right on time, his crew showed up(with him) and performed the work. The trees look PHENOMENAL. Clean, letting more light in, off the roof, etc. Only thing I'd say was LESS than perfect, was at one point one of the limbs fell on my wife's Canna plants. Thankfully it only broke one stalk, and they have recovered fine. Also--I'd have preferred to have the "pruning sealer" sprayed on the trunk where the large limbs were cut off. Lastly--although they used a giant chipper to remove all the wood, there was still some little twigs/sticks across the front yard. I went back and picked them up. Overall--very happy with David and his team."

I wanted to trim the Bradford pear tree back considerably but keep it standing because it shades the entire south wall (which is brick so there is a huge thermal mass there).
I had contacted Wright to do the trimming for all three trees for about $500.
After they had finished, my wife decided she wanted the Bradford cut down so they did for only 100 more.
The price for both services was very reasonable.
I did like the fact that they would cut it all the way down right then and for only $100 more. I had gotten estimates to trim and cut down and they were the best price for the comfort level (there were cheaper estimates but I did not feel comfortable with them).
The long and short it is that they did great work and I would use them again.

"This is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a company! Professional, courteous, hard working, Chad answered the phone immediately and told me that since he had a job nearby, he would be over within 30 minutes. He arrived on time, and he impressed me with his genuine friendliness. As he explained how he would trim the trees, I could tell that he had both knowledge and concern for what was best for our trees. After talking with two other companies, we decided on Chad, and we were lucky that they could do the work immediately. The three-man work crew arrived quickly, and Chad introduced us to them. Christian is the boss, and he impressed me with his knowledge of trees. His father Raphael works with him, and Les was the third worker. They worked continuously for about 3 1/2 hours and cleaned up completely. I watched them as they worked and realized what a dangerous job this is if you don't know what you're doing. When cutting off the big limb, Christian would saw, then climb down the ladder and reevaluate from all angles. Using ropes, when the biggest piece of the limb was cut, the ropes kept it dangling in the air until they carefully lowered it to the ground. I would not hesitate to use them again, and I would highly recommend them to everyone."
