I was most impressed by the young man onsite supervisor, Josh who answered all my work done, how and why questions. I wish this info was provided up front by the estimator. "Project kickoff began with an evaluation and a quote from a Ned Clyde engineer. After accepting the offer, we waited for 3 months to begin work due to high demand for their services. Project work spanned about four weeks, with some downtime due to weather. Aside from the main work of returning the floor and walls to original positions, the french drain along the foundation was remade with modern material. This work required a permit from the city of Martinez that required adding an earthquake shutoff valve for the natural gas service and a check for smoke and carbon monoxide detectors matching current codes. The cost of these upgrades were outside of the feeds paid to Ned Clyde, but they are sensible requirements that would have been done eventually anyway. Overall, the Ned Clyde folks are experts who did exactly what they promised with no required feedback. Costs were in line with other quotes, but I got the sense that I got a great bargain in value provided."

First of all the contractor was working with a very tight window as this was a surprised gift for my parents. They started extremely early so the job would be completed and dried in the window they had to work with. They explained every step of the way. "For several years, during and after periods of rain, water (as much as an inch) has accumulated in parts of our basement. Other parts have gotten very wet from the water draining down towards an existing sump pump. I waited to do a report until we had gotten some rain and while this year has not been exceptionally wet, there was enough rain to convince me that the problem in our basement has been solved. The entire process went smoothly and everything was handled with skill and attention to detail. I had gotten other estimates which were higher than Bay Area Moisture Control and I am not sure that the work suggested would have solved the problem. In summary, the parts of our basement that were getting very wet are now dry."

"The fence repair was accomplished without damaging any of the many plants within the area. The long 6.5' high fence is in a wind-tunnel 'zone' and is sturdier now than when it was originally built. <br /> The kitchen sink removal and instillation went without a hitch and none of the tile or grout was damaged. <br /> Of note is the fact that we were unaware that our old garbage disposal (8+ years) was leaking. Rowan and Manny, the Mulhall Construction craftsmen proceeded to install a new one. This was certainly an unexpected task but they were very generous with their time and skills in doing so and declined my offer to pay for the added time (about 1/2 hour). <br /> They are professional, conscientious and pleasant mannered craftsmen and took obvious pride in their work. <br /> I would highly recommend their services and plan on calling on them again. <br />"
