"This was the smartest home improvement decision that we've made! After putting up with exorbitant electric bills, particularly in summer months, we finally did something about it. Our upstairs air handling unit (attic location) had always struggled to control temperature, and at times seemed to run continuously to keep up. Those days are over. The excellent professionals at Lone Star transformed our attic into an unvented, conditioned attic using open-cell spray foam. We're expecting much lower electric bills in future months and years. The immediate differences noticed have been noteworthy. Prior to foaming, the delta between the attic and upstairs hallway was 30-35 degrees. It was unbearable in the attic. Afterwards, the delta is amazingly only a couple degrees! This makes so much sense, we truly now have one conditioned environment, any small system leakage stays within the envelope, rather than cooling the great outdoors! It is quite comfortable in the attic now, and the two air handling units there work much less hard. The upstairs unit now easily maintains upstairs temperature with normal cycling, as mentioned, this was not the case before. We have also noticed a significant improvement in the humidity throughout the house, a major bonus! The system efficiency has been greatly improved. So happy we made this decision. "Rammy (and his team) were excellent! He always gave me full disclosure on the costs of the products he was buying/installing and how much of each product he used in my attic. He even went above and beyond by clearing out years of cable and antenna wiring that were cluttering up the attic, and even cleaned out my AC drip pan for me! The spray radiant barrier and air sealing odors were easy to air out of the house just by opening up a few windows. He was also able to install blown insulation through the attic where one of my attic fans was being replaced to minimize blown particles coming into the house. The end result was miraculous. Not to mention, they were done even before the quoted time. I was amazed! Overall, Insulation Discounters are wonderful. Their expertise were top notch and they were all such nice gentlemen! "Guys done a great job as to taking the time not to get overspray onto floor and windows. Thought that I would end up with about 2 1/2" to 3" thickness of foam in walls. In most places I only have about 1 1/2" thickness of foam. Hope this will be sufficient for the summer months."

"After discovering mold growing out of one of our vents, we used Angie's List to call 5 companies for quotes. TakeAir was the only company that took several pictures of the vent and actual AC unit. Avi sat and talked with my husband and I about the problem, explained our options, and pricing, including warranties. They had the longest warranties for their services, which gave use the impression that they back their work. We scheduled with them on Thanksgiving (yes, they were available for us to contact with any questions). They came out Sunday and worked diligently from 10:30am-3pm. They covered our furniture and belongings to ensure that it wouldn't get dirty. They took our vents off and washed them, cleaned the boxes, intakes, ducts and unit. After washing, they sanitized and installed the UV light system to prevent the problem from occurring again. They cleaned up afterwards. The smell of our house is wonderful after they used their organic solution. We are extremely pleased from the initial call, schedule for quote, questions, schedule for job, and actual job.
