"I went to Thomas for a cabinet bed. I was initially looking online at Murphy and Cabinet Beds but the reviews were all over the place in terms of quality of product. The online prices weren't that great considering how bad many of the reviews were on these products. I then decided to just look up cabinet and Murphy beds in SLO County. This was a great decision because I got great service locally with Thomas. I ended up purchasing a cabinet bed instead of a Murphy bed, mainly because of cost. The cabinet bed is very good looking and extremely solid. I am pleased with the quality so far. I've slept on it for about 4 days and it was very comfortable. I am buying a mattress topper too just to add to the comfort. It is easy to pull out and put back up. I love that. The bed serves a purpose now in our studio but I can see having it forever in a guest area of the house. When it is not in use it looks like a nice cabinet or console. Thomas was great, he showed me the different options and I got to lay down and try out the bed. He also came out to my place and delivered it, we brought it in on a dolly and assembled it. The assembly went very well with him there. He definitely knows the ins and outs of the product. He made it easy and he took all the trash with him. He was very pleasant and I'd recommend buying locally and purchasing with Thomas."

"We wanted a new front door on our house and I went over to Valley Oak Cabinets to arrange for it.  Massive enterprise they have there and it took awhile to find the office which is on the 2nd floor.  Arrangements were quickly made and I was given a glossy thick book of available doors and entryways to look at in order to pick out the door I wanted.  Steve came out to the house to measure the door frame and a couple of weeks later he brought over the new door and installed it.  It isn't easy to install a new door in an old house that has had 40 years to shift and settle in this earthquake prone area plus the warp of damp and wet weather.  Steve was very patient and tried hard to fit the door correctly; I really appreciate the time he took as we now have a beautiful new front door that fits as perfectly as humanly possible. <br />"

"After checking out bids from several cabinet makers and contractors, we were so lucky to be introduced by our brother to the team at Fernando's Custom Kitchen Cabinets in Montebello. From start to finish, our experience with Armando Jr. & Armando Sr., Fernando, Antonio and all of the other guys was excellent. These guys are friendly, professional, respectful, careful, and creative. They take great pride in their work and it shows. For approximately half the price of the bids from the big name cabinet companies, we were able to get the kitchen of our dreams! Our drawers and cabinets have soft close hardware; a custom breakfast nook was built to our specifications; our pantries and space under the kitchen sink have beautiful roll outs making everything accessible; we have a custom trash drawer, a custom spice drawer, custom dish drawers, etc. When it was clear that I, the homeowner, had miscalculated on a couple of items (i.e. breakfast nook measurement too shallow), the team made adjustments in a timely fashion to our satisfaction. We have an all white kitchen with stainless steel appliances and we chose to have Fernando's not only build the cabinets, but also paint and install them. This proved to be a very smart step, as the paint finish is top notch and any adjustments that had to be made during installation due to uneven walls and ceiling were all taken care of by this team. After the counters and appliances were installed the guys came back to make sure everything fit tightly and seal any gaps.
