"Last year we replaced our hundred year old garage. We live in an historical district. So there were a number of requirements beyond normal. Garage For You told us when each phase of the process would be done and they stuck to the schedule. There were a few unique features that they were able to accommodate. I had saved and refurbished five original windows from the old garage. And I also duplicated the original trim. They incorporated both of these items into the design for the new garage and installed them. We had another company apply a stucco finish to the garage. Garage For You workers prepared the walls as the stucco company requested. The stucco company said that the preparation was excellent. The electrical and final inspections were flawless. We are very pleased with the quality of the work, the flexibility of the design process and the overall responsiveness and availability of the workers and office staff. "In my 64 years on this planet, I have overlooked the building of two homes from the ground up, three complete renovations of 1920s era apartments in Chicago, and now renovations of 1880s buildings in Chicago. "My wife and I got 3 quotes for the work. They all came in very close but we decided to go with Steele and Loeber because we just felt comfortable right away with Phil, the owner who did the estimate. The project was delayed a little at the start because of the weather but went smoothly once started. The demo was quick and cleaned up well. The concrete job is beautiful. We had 1 minor hiccup with the electrical at inspection but Phil straightened it out quickly. The finished product looks great. We just had 2 village inspectors out for the final approval and they both raved about the quality and style of the garage. As you will see in the pictures I am finishing out the interior now. All said and done we are very pleased with our decision to use Steele and Loeber."

"My wife and I could not be happier with the work and the professionalism of The Concrete Man and his people. We highly recommend them. First, I want to note that my wife and I have done a lot of work on our house over the years, including a complete three-story addition that doubled the living space of our house. We consider ourselves very experienced when it comes to hiring professionals and gauging the quality of their work. This job was straightforward. We needed a 10 foot, octagonal concrete pad placed as a foundation for a gazebo we intended to install. The concrete pad was to be located in the back corner of our property and due to a fence and a detached garage, there was no way to bring equipment back to the exact jobsite. We first met Steve who quoted the job. In spite of the COVID restrictions, he maintained the kind of friendly professionalism that you want to see in a contractor. The quote was ready for us directly, but because of unrelated work on our part, we delayed our acceptance. In fact, we lost the quote and I had to return to Angies List to try to find the contractor again. In spite of the delay, Steve remembered who we were and our project and, in fact, lined our project up with another project in the area for simplicity and efficiency. We needed the pad by a certain date, and he beat that date by a week. The team who arrived to do the work was simply outstanding. They were very attentive to our specific requirements. They were very patient in explaining our options. Finally, once they finished, they performed the single best jobsite cleanup that I have ever witnessed. My backyard was cleaner than it was before they got there. I highly recommend this company. I will hire them again."
