I am stunned by the professionalism, honesty and transparency, the depth of their skill and knowledge, and the downright far more than reasonable charge for their service. It took me weeks until I got to Jeff and HWHIAH, so many people gave me the runaround, not following through even on a quote, suggesting absurd costs like $3K+ for labor. Why's it so hard to find someone honest, dependable, professional, and competent these days? Unique Indoor Comfort staff were very slow in providing warranty papers for the extended warranty of the Rheem Water Heater - it took a month to get the proper sticker to validate the warranty - and made it seem like a problem. We hope that they respect the warranties for the A/C and Furnace through Carrier."

Their specialist, Steve Ault was awesome and very knowledgeable. He quickly got to work dismantling the old unit. He even had a new heater and all the parts on his truck so there wasn't even a delay in waiting for parts or a new heater to be delivered. He also installed a drip pan, a pressure regulator and re-routed some of the exhaust piping for better venting. The price they charged seemed to be in line with the work performed. "They were summoned by my Home Warranty Company. The 75 fee is my required co-pay from the warranty co. My hot water heater is 15+ years old. They welded a pipe on the bottom of the leaking heater. Work was done right, it stopped leaking. 2 weeks later they were back for another leak, the relief valve. The hot water needs to be replaced but my warranty co wants it repaired if that is possible, so that's not Clear Water's fault. After the 2nd repair, we probably could have had it authorized for replacement but the "items not covered clause (again not the fault of Clear Water, set by warranty co) would have cost 400 - 500 dollars. The heater is gas powered and we would like to convert it to electric. We have an estimate of 895 for the whole job, and the type of heater we want. I think there charges for the extra items are high. There work and professionalism and punctuality were good but I can get that elsewhere for less.
