"Repair went well and resolved the issues I was having. Only surprise was when the technician/owner presented the bill ($480) and informed that he 'does not take credit or debit cards, only cash or check'. Cash? Wrote a check and that worked but that would have been something to share up front. Cards are pretty universally accepted and without notice beforehand it could have been an awkward moment once the work was completed. There's nothing on their website about only accepting cash or checks. On the plus side, I called on a Friday and he came out next day, on Saturday."

I was impressed because he lifted the dryer on and off the washer by himself (pictures show a similar stacked installation). Also he patiently picked lint from between two layers of mesh in a filter, rather than making me wait for a new one. They did that and more, giving the mechanical part a thorough inspection. The belt was frayed and one of the pully wheels was not fastened, but had not moved out of position.
