"That's one of your highest rated companies.  They cleaned up very nicely after themselves because the area was encapsulated and so there was white plastic everywhere so they vacuumed the whole underneath of the house.  They were done in 2.5 days.  They came almost immediately.   There was a little delay, a day; I called over the weekend and he answered.  I was going to leave a message but the owner Ansel answered on the weekend and so we set up something.  He had a cancellation so he came on Wednesday because he told me it would be next week probably.  Everything is great.  They did a great job as far as I can tell.  He’s very knowledgeable and his people were friendly and courteous and stayed with the job the whole time.  They didn't take a lot of breaks.  We're pleased we just have to see what happens to my allergies now that the mold is supposedly gone.  That will be the true test."

"I had a pipe burst while I was on vacation, I came back to my house flooded and A&E Restoration called me the same day. They came in and tore out all the damaged drywall, flooring trim and cabinets and then dried out all of my subfloor saving me thousands more in replacing it! They were very professional and did the job right in a timely manner so I could focus on replacing everything I needed to. They worked directly with my insurance company, making my experience with them stress free, very easy, and no money out of pocket for me! I would recommend them to anyone! I can’t thank you guys so much for the work and professionalism! Best company around!! "

"I would recommend this company for asbestos abatement. I was very grateful that they were able to help me in such short notice to remove the asbestos when another company did not show. I thought their price was pretty fair and was told by the mold testing company that they do good work. I would not hire this company to do anything else. I was in a bind and got a quote on what it would be to mud and paint the ceiling and paint the house. I was very very unhappy with the quality of the work of the painters he hired. I feel I should have been deeply reimbursed or discounted because the paint job was so bad. They got plaster everywhere on my kitchen cabinets and are unable to remove it so I must just look at it. They did not replace some of my lights and there are cracks in the seems and every worker I have comments on how bad the paint job is. Very dissapointed that I spent so much money for that. They came out to try and fix it and it was not even fixed. Maybe a little better on the ceilings. It was extremely hard to get the electrician that I hired through them to come up and finish the job here in Charleston. I believe he lived a few hours away and everything was just a headache. He was unable to find a certain part and I ended up having to research and find it online. We lost at least a week while he was looking for that."

"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"After reviewing Angie's List and obtaining other quotes, I chose Emory Young with Mold Stoppers of Greenville because of his knowledge of the issue and his detailed explanation of the processes and products available to resolve it. The quoted price was very similar to other quotes received, but my level of comfort with Emory's professionalism and thoroughness during the initial inspection and quote process was a significant factor in selecting him for the job. He spent no less than an hour under the house doing a thorough inspection and provided numerous photographs to help explain the problem and what needed to be done to resolve it. Because of the thorough assessment, there were no surprises or added costs at the completion of the project. Emory had two guys on staff who did much of the work, but he also spent considerable time under the house doing the work and ensuring the job was done correctly. The job took several weeks to complete but I was not on a timeline and told Emory that from the beginning. The crawl space has very low clearance and is choppy so I appreciated the extra time he and his crew spent to make sure they did a thorough job. After everything was cleaned and encapsulated, he installed a commercial dehumidifier and condensate pump. Emory also identified a small leak under the master bathroom and some issues with the duct work under the house that we would not have known about. I highly recommend Emory Young if you have any mold or moisture issue. <br />"

"Rick has an intuitive, holistic understanding of how homes work. I was extremely impressed with his depth of knowledge and expertise - everything was very well explained and I felt we were in very safe hands. Rick also definitely saved us money as we originally thought it was a mold problem, but it turned out to be something entirely different, requiring a different solution. One of the most expert tradesmen I have worked with, highly recommended."

"The report was very professional and detailed. The response was fast. The price was expensive but due to the detail, understandable. I wouldn't hire again due to multiple requests for a completed report and estimate for the mold remediation and just getting robotic replies that didn't answer my questions."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Seneca, SC

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
