"Using Angie's List to identify contractors, we solicited four local roofing companies. Chuck Scandroli, the owner, came to my home as scheduled and soon after presented us with a detailed plan and cost proposal. His plan, and personal attention and demeanor, led me to want to use Scandroli Roofing for this work. The entire roof was replaced, along with all gutters and downspouts, and an older skylight was replaced as well. All of the work was professionally done. The employees were courteous and helpful. The entire job took about 3 work days, and when done there was no mess or trash left behind, and virtually no nails found lying in the grass or driveway! Scandroli brought in an outside contractor to do the interior finishing for the skylight, and Johnson Drywall did an excellent job. "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
