"We are exceedingly pleased with the exceptional work completed by S&M. The professionalism and quality of Matt and Heather's craftsmanship are truly commendable. Their pricing is equitable and transparent, and communication throughout the project was consistently clear. Matt demonstrated great care in safeguarding carpets and wood floors while maintaining cleanliness. Initially hired for one bathroom renovation, we were so impressed that we extended the contract to include another. Without hesitation, we will engage their services again in the future."

"Awesome job on the gutters. I just LOVE seamless gutters and the leaf guard over the top!! No more leaf removal anymore! WOO HOO! Water flows off our roof in the right spots- - down the corners and NOT over the edge of the middle of the gutters. RBS eliminated some middle drain spouts (middle of the house) and installed larger/ better sized gutters so that the water would flow out and down on the corners of the house. This was important for our septic drain field as well oddly. We'd been drenching our field with water off the house and had septic issues as a result. Now the water flows away from the septic field as well. They also repaired some damage on the roof from the massive hail that came down that day though that was small stuff. Reliable gets 5 STARS on this project! Thanks a TON."

"That job went fine. I called them again this in the spring for a repair on my front porch which would be followed by window replacements and vinyl siding replacement. Everything was dependent on a specific timeline and one person doing his job at the appropriate time. The porch guy never showed. Neither did anybody come to check to see if he ever showed. Nobody called to check either. <br /> Finally on Friday afternoon, I called the Project Manager and told him that the guy had never shown up and informed him of my extreme displeasure. I then fired them. <br /> Saturday morning, the porch guy showed up with a bizarre story involving arrests, court dates, and Homeland Security. I was not impressed. He did not convince me to give the rest of the group a chance because I STILL needed someone to fix my porch. Furthermore, the Project Manager was as much at fault because he had not done his job in checking on the guy. <br /> iI was extremely disappointed in RRR the second time around because they did such a good job he first time. I don't know if the difference was because this wasn't an insurance job or what. However, the thought has occurred to me that I have NOT been under my house, so I really don't know if they've done the work or not. I don't know what it looks like under my house now. I'm taking their word for it that the mold is gone. I won't know until the termite guy or AC guy comes and crawls under the house. <br /> But I, in good conscience, would not recommend using them. <br />"

"We signed the contract with them in April for the repair. They were to coordinate with our insurance (State Farm) to get the work done and fixed.Obviously, there was a tremendous amount of work to be done in our area because of the size of the hailstorm and the amount of damage it inflicted. Every house in our neighborhood needed some sort of repair so we expected that there would be some delays due to volume of customers, getting supplies, etc. <strong>What we did not expect was that we would have to make 2-4 phone calls per week to get updates and find out where they were with either getting started on something or finishing something up.</strong> We started out with one project manager who disappeared due to personal issues and we got someone else. I was on the phone with my State Farm agent multiple times with him telling me that Chris had not yet sent the photos of the damage and then having to call Chris, who said he sent them but had issues with the emails being received. This went on for a couple of weeks and contributed to the delay in work starting. <br /> Work started on our roof <strong>in June</strong> and it wasn't until September when they finished all the other tasks (gutters, siding, windows, deck, etc). Millennium is primarily a roofing company and that part of their work is excellent. If I was just rating them on that, they would get an A without issue. However, the subcontractors for the other tasks - gutters, siding, deck - were less than stellar. There work was good, but was fraught with delays for everything. For instance: <br /> - Siding took forever to get here and to get installed <br /> - Windows took a long time to be replaced (my husband finally took the screens that were ready and put them in himself rather than wait for the window guy to come) <br /> - The deck guy pressure washed the deck on July 3rd, saying he'd come back the next day - really, on July 4th - and wasn't seen again until late August/September. When we told him he had to pressure wash again before staining, he was aghast to have to and quot;re-do thisand quot; <br /> - Gutters were replaced, but without the toppers so we had to wait for another crew to do that piece later on <br /> - When they put the toppers back on, they dented the gutters and didn't say anything (Millennium did repair this when we called and had them come see the damage from the ladder) <br /> To summ up: If you need a roofer, they are great, but just make sure you get a phone number and keep in constant contact with them. The poor communication was the biggest issue for us, especially since I work in project management and know how vital this is to keeping customers satisfied. We can deal with delays if someone tells us about it and sets expectations up front. Not calling or letting people know when to expect work to start or when there are delays is no way to keep clients happy. <br /> For the other tasks like gutters and such, they contract the job, so it will only be as good as the subcontractors chosen. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Shelbyville, TN

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
