"I needed a full roof repair / replacement and noticed work performed in my neighborhood. Through verbal referral from previous satisfied customers whom also had roof replacements I was able contact Happy Home Remodeling, LLC. Craig was very fast to respond to my call and to set up a time to assess my roof, put together a quote and begin the project . The staff he contracted with were just as professional and hardest workers I have seen!!! Hired in spring they worked long hours to replace my large tri level home and garage roof in time for Mother Nature to change her forecasted sun to rain and snow. Lead Staff was courteous to be sure clean up occurred during the project so we could enter / leave my home and then again after completion (even in the rain) . Craig and his staff leader also verbally touched based several times in person to be sure the project work was up to my expectation. Very pleased overall and would recommend hiring !!!"

"Chad is the owner and he did the work himself. His estimated were reasonable and he had good grades on Angies list. I hired him to complete several odd jobs and he was punctual and the work performed was exceptional. I will hire again when needed."

"Our initial meeting was great. After we shared with Bill what our vision was, he made some suggestions and helped us tweak our design so that it would have a nicer finished looked. <br /> Great to work with. Timely with responses to questions. On-site guys were great and didn't mind me popping out back to ask questions. They were even kind enough to leave me with a small section of flooring on my pool deck before they headed out on Friday so that I could sit pool side over the weekend. <br /> Project took about a week. They went over some "care instructions" with me, did their clean up and left me to admire my backyard makeover. <br /> I will definitely use them again in the future. Great experience. <br />"

"They arrived right on time and worked around the carpet cleaners and adjusted their order of carpet install to accommodate that. They then moved upstairs and the work they did looks terrific. HJ Martin were the original carpet and tile layers when we built our home."

"This father and son team are the best!. I live in an older home (57 yrs.) and discovered Smith Construction and Remodeling in 2008 when I had bad leaking of water into my basement laundryroom. I chose the Beaver System as it was more affordable than complete draintile repair and had a good reputation. The company contracted with Smith Construction and a work relationship was born. Since that time I've utilized them for a new deck, privacy fence instillation, repair of foundation wall crack, instillation of downspout "bubblers" ( this is an underground pipe system that channels gutter runoff away from house and pops a heavy plastic bubbler to empty it into the yard - no downspout extenders to move and mow around! ) the summer of 2011. Even with extreme heat and rain they preservered. Part of the fence was put together in my garage during a rainstorm so a work day would not be lost! These two men work quickly and efficiently, my garage was cleaner when they left than when they started( she says with face reddening). The project April 14,2012 was done on a Saturday because a series of rain storms were predicted and John and his dad wanted to make sure the room where the continuation of the Beaver System would stay dry. Not alot of contractors would work a Saturday for a client's convenience. I would highly reccommend this company to anyone needing construction, remodeling, waterproofing, and home repair. Thank you."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Shiocton, WI

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
