"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"I received an email that included a Angie's list coupon it was $1,499.00 for an Exterior House Painting package--Premium Paint included done by Churchill Painting and Renovations. I purchased the coupon on Mar 19, 2017. This coupon gave me 2,000 Square Feet of Exterior painting Prep and Minor repairs using Sherwin Williams Exterior SuperPaint. Included 2 coats, 1 color. This did not include Trim, gutters, fascia, boxing, windows, shutters, doors. If the exterior paint job was more than 2000 SQFT then each additional SQFT was $1.50/per SQFT more. The owner of Churchill Painting and Renovations, Cary, Came to my house on the 25th of March and we walked around talked about what they would do (i.e., pressure wash, fixing rotting wood (I had 4 areas of rotted wood that needed repaired), Prep and filling cracks and then painting 2 coats of Sherwin Williams Resilence paint doing two colors (trim and full exterior along with black paint on the front doors, railings and shutters. He provided me with an estimate of $2016.00 in addition to the coupon of $1499.00. For the painting process to get done we had to wait for weather to clear and in a week they came to the house and pressure washed the house. After the pressure wash was completed I noticed that you could actually see the masonary of the Hardy Plank showing through. That evening Cary called me to let me know that when they pressure washed the house it was apparent that the original paint job was never primed and that for the present paint job to be effective and last that the house would need two coats of primer. This added an additional 900.00 to the original contract. The cost of the Job now reached $4,415.00. I was not in a rush to get the house done and I let Cary know that if he had more pressing jobs he could get to them and get to me when they got a chance. So between weather and situations beyond anyone's control the prep work was done about 3 weeks later. Once the prep was done 3 days later the painting began and the job was complete in about 3 days. During the painting and prep further repair work was discovered which was repaired at a cost of $206.00. Leaving a grand total of the job being $4621.00. My Wife and I were extremely satisfied with the work. I gave a grade of C ( I wish there was a B- Grade) for the price because I believe the price was fair for the work performed and I am a cheapskate. I wish I just could have paid the original coupon price but I also wish I had a million dollars!!!!!!! So the price was definitely fair for the services provided. I gave a grade of B for the Quality only because when you look close at some of the trim work I noticed that there were slip ups and areas where siding paint ended up on the trim and other ways around. Also they were not the best at cleaning up chips and strips that were removed during the prep and paint portions of the job. Otherwise, it was a great JOB. My wife and I love the way it looks and was really impressed with the punctuality, professionalism and Responsiveness of the employees of Churchill Painting and Renovations. Thank you so much Cary and his team...."

FAQs for cabinets repair projects in Smithfield, NC

The timeframe for kitchen cabinet removal varies significantly based on quantity and installation complexity. Professional contractors typically complete standard kitchens within 4 to 8 hours, though complicated configurations involving plumbing or electrical components may extend to 1 to 2 days. Homeowners tackling this as a DIY project should allocate substantially more time—often 1 to 3 full days—as careful extraction requires methodical work to prevent property damage.

Kitchen cabinets can indeed be salvaged for reuse when removed carefully. Construction material significantly impacts success rates—hardwood cabinets generally survive extraction better than composite materials, which tend to chip or break. For optimal preservation, document the original layout, remove doors and hardware first, then methodically detach units from walls and adjacent cabinets. Professional removal significantly increases the likelihood of successful cabinet preservation.

Disposal options for kitchen cabinets depend largely on their condition and your local waste management regulations. Cabinets in reasonable condition might find new homes through donation centers or online marketplaces. For damaged units, professional waste removal services offer convenience, while dumpster rentals provide flexibility for larger projects. Some municipalities offer special collection services for bulky items, though advance scheduling is typically required.

Wall damage during cabinet removal represents a legitimate concern for many homeowners. The risk varies based on installation methods—cabinets attached directly to drywall without backing supports pose greater challenges than properly mounted units. Professional removal minimizes damage through specialized techniques and appropriate tools. Even with careful extraction, expect some minor wall repairs. Older installations and homes with plaster walls require particularly delicate handling to prevent significant damage.
