"At the beginning of our search for remodeling our kitchen countertops, and in looking at the Angie's list of providers, we stopped by Schneider Stone without an appointment to see what they had to offer and look over their showroom.  <br /> We were immediately greeted by June, who gave us lots of attention and information, especially considering we did not have an appointment. Not knowing what we wanted, they gave us a tour of their samples and then a list of granite warehouses we might want to visit to help narrow down the options. <br /> We live almost an hour away, but they were willing to do business with us, gave us an initial quote, and then continued to email and answer any questions we might have. <br /> If we had lived closer, we would definitely have chosen them as our fabricators, due to their attention to detail and willingness to listen to our needs. I received a prompt appointment conducted by Bruce where he evaluated what needed to be done to restore the grout in our master bath. He clearly explained what issues he discovered in his inspection, options for repair and pricing. We received an estimate that same day. We booked the job and were so pleased with the process and results that we had The Grout Medic come back and color seal the tile in our other two bathrooms. I am beyond pleased with the improvement in the look of the bathrooms and I also feel that replacing missing grout has saved us from costly water and mold damage in the future. The team of Chris, Tim and Jim were very professional and answered our questions and gave clear time frames for the work as well as after-care of the work. "We had looked up several countertop businesses in the triangle area to get some different quotes for new quartz countertops.  The CTF had a nice wide selection of different countertops (quartz, granite, corian, etc.) and Mr. Dean was very helpful with all of our questions. We started looking more than a year in advance and let him know that we were not quite ready at the time we started looking, which he understood and did not push us into something before we were ready. He did keep in touch every couple of months by e-mail. When the time was near, we went back to the CTF and made our final decision on the exact pattern we wanted. That style was on back order, which he informed us of immediately, and gave us an approximate date for delivery. After the stone had been delivered to the CTF, someone from the CTF called and made an appointment for someone to come and do the templates for the countertops. He was very friendly, on time and definitely knew all about different countertops and their installation. Exactly one week later, the installers arrived to put the countertops in our kitchen. They were very nice and the first thing they did was to come in the house putting down cardboard runners all over the kitchen area so as to not mess up the floor. They were very professional and they were finished with the installation before lunch. With the exception of new countertops, you could not even tell anyone had been working in the kitchen area. Our total experience with The Countertop Factory was indeed a pleasure and we would definitely use them again."

"<p>Original we had purchased an Angieslist voucher to have the master bath room jet tub have some minor surface cracking/peeling repaired. Stuart was honest enough to state that we did not need a full resurface, but rather a concentrated repair. He offered to give us a refund of $100 but upon showing Stuart our marble bathroom counter needing some cosmetic blemishes he agreed to fix this and give the counters a good polish. </p> <p>The Surface Specialists of the Triangle did an outstanding job on both the bathtub and countertop. We were very impressed with the entire staff and would gladly recommend them for the work they do is looking great. </p> <br />"

"First, I contacted all my local area granite fabricators listed on Angie's List using their web site's 'contact me' function.  I work all day so I can pay for these things and do not have access to make personal calls.  This handy feature is great for communicating with a service provider during the times I have available to do so - providing somebody will read and respond to them. <br /> Sadly, or happily for me as it turned out, the sole vendor to respond to my inquires was Upon the Rock Granite and Marble. <br /> I had a great time corresponding with Gray in the office getting all set up for the service with quotations for each item.  Mike and Rusty arrived right on time and set to work taking careful measurements of my new cooktop.  After transferring the dimensions onto the counter they started building a dust containment wall since this was gonna be very messy.  I happily provided some materials and assisted in creating the best wall we could to corral the granite dust . <br /> They cleaned up the mess inside the temporary wall and I was happy to find there wan't granite dust everywhere.  Next, he proceeded on to polishing a damaged marble top.  Mike also build a slurry shield here so as to not splatter all over my walls.  The end result was fabulous!  I couldn't tell where the top had ever been damaged at all. <br /> The best compliment I can give Upon the Rock Granite and Marble is they ROCK, pun intended. <br /> <br /> <br />"
